Amelia’s pov
My body trembled as I stared at the massive wolf clamping its jaws around the arm of the man who had a bow in his hand while the other held the arrow. I stumbled back, gasping when the wolf suddenly snap its head toward me.
My heart skips, my palms get sweaty as its eyes bore into mine. But I remain frozen still where I stood, fear gutting me
heavily in my stomach. I cannot seem to move even though every single voice in my head is begging me to run.
I can’t seem to move.
Terror gripped me and as my eyes wander around quickly as I realized the person I had come to help was nowhere in sight
Where was Raiden?
My heart sinks in my gut as a terrifying thought pushes in my head. Had he left me?
My lower lip wobbled and that sinking feeling of not knowing what to do helplessness bit inside my body like maggots. I loathed the feeling and never enjoyed feeling helpless. I grew an armor….. an armor my mom instilled in me, and seeing it crack because of him numbed me.
As I peer at the darker wolf who had not shifted its eyes off me, I swallowed. I knew I needed to run, my mind screamed at me
Run Amelia. Run.
But it’s like my feet and mind and separated and nothing seems to push at my feet to listen. And the wolf, why did its eyes
seem so familiar? Why is it staring at me with such an edge that made me feel as though I knew it.
It wasn’t the same wolf that night Raiden had abandoned me on a dead road. Its eyes had been different, its fur different. Why
am I intrigued with this animal instead of running for my life?
The distraction caused the man to stab the wolf with the sharp point of the arrow right on its side and my eyes widen at the
sound of a painful howl. It shook me to the made me shiver as the blood curled on the floor.
My mind screamed at me to run, that I had the chance to escape. Yet a part of me pinned on Raiden, worried of his whereabouts despite an eating part of my mind told me he left me stranded and alone.

And as the wolf resets its attention on the man, I could not look away. It flings him into the lockers, denting it with the impact of his aggression. Then its head snaps back to me and a sharp growl sounded from its jaws.

The sound should have made me feel fear or at least scream, but instead I am intrigued. The sound did not seem threatening..
it somehow felt like the animal was trying to tell me to something.
I could only focus on that wolf even though there were others around. This one…..
…I am drawn to.
As the man tries to crawl and get his bow and arrow that had fallen to the floor from the wolf’s attack, the huge wolf clamped
his teeth around his arm and the man lets out a loud scream that shrieked across the walls.
I swallowed, stumbling back a bit and reaching out aimlessly. As the scream curled in my ears I am frozen shocked when the wolf bit into his leg.
“She’s coming for you!” He snarled, his cold dark eyes, even half dead snapped to me and chilled me on the spot. “She’s coming for you Amelia,” a smirk thinned on his lips and a sharp warning tingle snake down my spine.
He knew my name.
The room spun
He knew my name.

Who is she?
The wolf lets out a loud snarl and started to tear him apart. Limb by limb I watch the life drain out of the man, limb by limb I see the blood curling on the floor. Limb by limb I see after him, that would be me.
Breathe Amelia.
My hands tremble.
Don’t look at the blood.
Red.
Pooling.
So red.
Mom. Mom, Mom.
I hadn’t known I fell to the floor on my knees until the pain shoots up my kneecaps from the impact. My temples throb and my vision begins to blur. The air in my lungs snag as I try to breathe properly.
But it feels as though every wall is slowly closing in on me. As the sounds deafened around me, I looked up through my blurry vision and gasped when the huge wolf surges toward me.
My heart thumps against my chest, painful flutters knocking against my stomach lining. But what seized me completely when that blurry image of the huge wolf suddenly turned into a human. A teenage boy.
was
“Amelia!”
Raiden.
