Don’t scrimp anymore—go out for brunch, get yourselves some nice steaks, take care of yourselves, okay?”

But her parents stubbornly refused. “No, honey, you keep your money. We never expected anything from you except happiness. All we want is for you to be safe and content. That’s more than enough for us.”
