Swapping a Broken Heart for a New Start novel Chapter 331

With the treatment plan settled, and Dennis Williams being a man of action, things moved quickly. Later that afternoon, after finishing their coffee, Dennis glanced at his watch with purpose.

“Well, I think we’re just about on schedule. How about we get started?”

He stood up, casually shrugging on his coat.

Camila Davis blinked, a bit lost. “Get started with what?”

Dennis grinned. “Helping Lillian get comfortable with new places. I figured we’d start with some music. I had Aaron grab us tickets!”

Originally, he’d planned on going to the movies, but knowing Lillian might not be ready for the darkness and crowds, he’d changed his mind. A concert seemed like a gentle first step—still a big event, but with plenty of light, and Lillian did love music.

Camila suddenly caught on. So… last night, when he’d asked if she liked movies, that was all for Lillian’s treatment plan? She felt a little embarrassed at where her mind had gone. Thank goodness she’d kept her imagination in check, or she’d want to crawl under the table.

Doing her best to play it cool, Camila nodded. “Sounds good.”

She quickly gathered her things and slipped into her coat. Once they were ready, they left the coffee shop together.

The concert was set for four o’clock at the Harrisburg International Theater. A world-famous symphony from Vienna was in town for their global tour—the event was so popular that tickets were almost impossible to snag.
