After chatting with Mr. Harris for a while, Camila Davis scheduled an appointment with him.
He promised to send a car to pick her up when the time came.
Once everything was settled, Camila didn’t want to disturb Mr. Harris any further, so she excused herself and slipped out of the room.
Outside in the hallway, she could barely hide her excitement and anticipation.
She was finally going to meet that mysterious psychologist!
If she could convince him to help, maybe—just maybe—Lillian would finally get better.
Lost in her happy thoughts, Camila glanced up and spotted Walter Wilson leaning casually against the corridor wall. He had one ankle crossed over the other and his hands stuffed in his pockets, looking completely at ease. Honestly, with his tousled hair, tall frame, and the kind of good looks that seemed almost unfair, he pulled off the whole “charming rebel” vibe without even trying.
It was obvious he’d been waiting for her.
Camila didn’t hesitate. She strode right up to him, looking him straight in the eye.
Walter arched a brow and smirked. “I know I’m a sight for sore eyes, but you don’t have to stare that hard.”
She ignored the cocky remark and grinned, “Thanks, Walter.”
He played dumb, feigning surprise. “Thanks? For what?”
Camila rolled her eyes at his terrible acting. “You set this up, didn’t you? You knew I was looking for that psychologist for Mr. Harris’ treatment.”
His eyebrows shot up even higher, and he didn’t answer—which pretty much said it all.
