“I would concur with what Alpha Christian has said. While it is very disruptive to the pack, this is very important. A pack member is dead. The pack will want justice, they will want answers. Fear could possibly take over and a frightened pack makes bad decisions. They can hurt each other just out of fear, or they could turn against their Alpha because they don’t feel protected.”

“Okay, I agree then,” Shane says.

“I’m going to need you and Enya helping me,” I tell him. “Do the investigators need you to walk through the finances with them?”

“I think it will go faster if I do, but they’re picking things up very quickly,” he says.

“That’s why they were chosen for this investigation,” Councilman Johnathon says. “And while we’re together, I will tell you that I don’t feel that Violet was part of this. I think she saw what happened to Nancy and she’s terrified. She started to open up but then she shut down again. I’ve asked Councilwoman Charlotte to speak with her and try again.
