“Do we need to be scared, Alpha?” a pack member asks.
“No, you do not.” I want to say more, but Steven and Caleb are here, so I remain vague.
“What about eating?” another asks.
“Meals will continue as usual,” I say.
After answering a couple more questions, Braden, Councilman Johnathon, and I find Enya and Sebastiana.
“I’d like each of you to take one end of the hallway. No gets in without your say so, no one goes into a room that isn’t theirs, and no one goes into their own room unless one of you is with them. After we clear the room, the owner can return if needed, as long as they don’t get in our way,” I tell them.
“Got it.”
To make sure that no one can say we targeted anyone, I start at one end of the hall and have Braden start at the other. I keep Councilman Johnathon with me and when Shane joins us, I put him with Braden so we can move faster.
The first rooms take a longer amount of time, because the owners have pups and there is a LOT to go through. We’ve just cleared our sixth room when Shane comes up to me.
“Christian, Beta Braden and I both feel this is suspicious,” he says, handing me a small glass vial that is stoppered on one end.
“Whose room did it come from?” I ask, looking at the vial that only has a drop of clear liquid in it. I show it to Councilman Johnathon.
“Gabriel’s.”
“Quietly take it to the pack hospital and have one of the investigators determine what is inside,” I say to him. “Put it in your pocket so no one knows you found it.
He nods and tucks the vial into his pocket. Then I contact my father to let him know what’s coming since he’s still assisting the investigators over there.

Chapter 105
288 VouchAGE
“Hey, we’re taking a break from looking at numbers all day. Need some help,” Alpha James says, walking up with Alpha Benjamin and my mother. In very true form, Alpha James looks excited and is rubbing his hands together.
“I would not say no to more help,” I tell him.
“Tell me where you want me,” he says.
I’ve just gotten them set up in rooms when Shane links me. ‘It’s silver, Christian.‘
That doesn’t surprise me. Nor does it surprise me that we find three more vials of silver; one in Dorian’s room, one in Corey’s, and one in Steven’s.
Once I have confirmation, I take Steven into custody and put him in the cells with the others.
When I return, everyone says they’re done with their search.
