“So, I heard. I also heard that for someone who wasn’t planning to come to the Academy six months ago, you were one of the best young fighters he’d taken on,” Alpha Jackson says.
I blush at the compliment and to know that others had been talking about me and my fighting skills.
“Alpha Sebastian and Alpha Christina also speak very highly of you,” he says.
“No pressure,” I say, suddenly hoping that I’m as good as they seem to think I am.
“I’m looking forward to testing you myself,” Alpha Dane says, grinning at me.
As we finish dinner, I realize that the instructors already know quite a bit about all the students for this semester, or at least those of us who got on the train at the first stop. They know as much about Lorenzo as they know about me and the other two Alpha females who got on.
After dinner, I head to my room and open my laptop. I pull up my email and begin to type.
Christian,
I miss you already. I have no idea how I’m going to sleep without you holding me. Thank you
for
last night. My body is still tingling.
Yours,
Enya
I hit send, then go to unpack my clothes. As soon as I open my suitcase, I smell it, his scent. I quickly dig through my clothes and find the shirts he tucked into my suitcase. They’re wrapped around a bottle of whisky, the whiskey we drink together.
There’s a note attached.
Enya,
In case you have trouble sleeping, I wanted you to have something with my scent on it. I hope it helps. You’re going to have a great time, and I can’t wait to hear all about it. Write when you can and if you need anything at all, I’m only a phone call away.
Christian
