And because I’ve changed, the feeling in the pack, their feelings about me, have also changed. There’s a feeling of respect that wasn’t there before. The pack trusts me. They trust that I will take care of them and protect them. That trust is so important to me, and I have no intention of losing that hard–earned trust.
But now, because I’ve changed, my relationship with Tiana has changed. I’m no longer the young Alpha who let her lead the way, make the decisions, or choose our path. Now, I’m the one doing that. Now, she’s the one who is waiting for me to make the decisions. And tonight, I feel like we‘ ve reached the point where we can finally be physical again. Although, this time, it’s going to be different. T will either accept what I give her, or she will have to find another partner. This time, we’re doing it my way.
This weekend, she’s here in my pack again. She’s been incredible. Even Christian has commented on how amazing she’s been. I appreciate her help, and I always thank her for all of her hard work. But I know that she’s here for more than just to help me. Maybe she feels like this is her penance for making me feel like we were breaking up before, but that’s not my intention. It’s just that I’ve changed. Working with Christian has changed me. Accepting my role as Alpha has changed me. I’m not trying to punish her. I just want to do things right this time.
So, after dinner, I walk up behind her, gently putting a hand on her hip and smiling when I feel her body shiver with the acknowledgement of my touch. I lean in, putting my mouth against her
ear.
“If you’re ready to be with me, come to my room tonight.”
She nods, not saying anything and I step away. I still have work to do. Braden, Jaden, and I are changing the warrior training for our pack. We want to make sure that we incorporate everything that Christian is teaching all of us.
After our meeting, I head to my room to take a shower. Then I sit at my desk, continuing to work, wondering if Tiana will come to me tonight.
I don’t have to wait long.
When the knock comes, it isn’t the knock of the Tiana I first met. This one was tentative, unsure.
I put aside my work and open the door, gesturing for her to come in.
“So, you want to be with me?” I ask.
