“For real! You guys are totally delusional. This is just wishful thinking,” someone snorted.
“Kayla, have you lost your mind or something? Look at your classmates in Class G. They’re staring at you like you’ve grown a second head. What makes you think you can compete with us? All you got is a bunch of hot air,” another student sneered.
“Seriously, Class G is such a joke. Are you guys the clowns sent here to entertain us? Even Marianna, the only one with halfway decent grades, ditched you for Class A. Who else in your class isn’t failing?” someone else laughed.
“Kayla, you’re dead last in the whole school, aren’t you? And now you think you can dream big?” Someone mocked.
Kayla turned around and looked at her classmates in Class G. Sure enough, everyone looked uncomfortable and tense.
Their faces showed even more resistance than when she’d first roped them into the debate tournament. Every single look screamed that they wanted to bail.
Tania’s stomach dropped when she saw everyone’s expressions, and she couldn’t hold back. “Kay, seriously, don’t do anything crazy. If it’s about grades, that’s just not worth it,” she pleaded.
‘Honestly, there’s no way we could beat them at that,‘ Tania thought.
Killian quickly nodded, looking awkward and embarrassed. “Kayla, I mean, yeah, we won the debate, but when it comes to grades… we’re just not on Class A’s level,” he admitted.
Everyone else mumbled in agreement.
“Yeah, let’s not set ourselves up to get humiliated,” one of them added.
Kayla paused and took a deep breath. When she looked at everyone in Class G again, her gaze was steady and her voice firm. “Listen up. We won that debate, right? That proves Class G has what it takes–potential, skill, real strength. As long as we don’t give up, nothing’s impossible.
“Grades? They’re just numbers, a snapshot of where we are right now, not some label that decides our future. In the debate, we went up against the best and won because of our brains and teamwork. Why should grades be any different?
“Maybe we’re not the best yet, but if we keep grinding, keep fighting, keep pushing ourselves, we’ll see progress. I guarantee it.
“And even if things don’t work out in the end, so what? At least we tried. At least we fought for it and became better than we were yesterday. That’s enough.
“So why should we back down? We all heard what Class A said about us. Are you really okay with being called losers? With being treated like we’re nothing, like we don’t even matter?
“Yeah, I used to be dead last–the absolute worst in the whole school. The teachers, the school, even my own

“People say success is one percent talent and 99 percent hard work. Maybe we don’t know how much talent we have, but ask yourselves. Have you really given it everything you’ve got?”
Kayla’s voice rose, firm and determined, her words ringing through Class G and hitting everyone right in the heart. “If you haven’t, then why not try? If we fail, so what? We’re no worse off than before. What do we have to lose?
“Let me say this right now. I’m taking on Class A. I know if I work my ass off, I can break into the top 50. I can earn my spot and make them eat their words. I’ll show them what happens when you underestimate me!”
Kayla’s voice rang through the classroom, each word burning with conviction. “Put your hand on your heart right now. Can you feel it? That fire inside you, that stubborn refusal to accept being mediocre
“Class G has never been a bunch of losers for everyone to laugh at. We’re fighters with unlimited potential! Look inside yourselves. What do you see? Fear or ambition? The urge to run, or the courage to fight?
“I’ll tell you what it is–it’s courage! The courage to fight against an unfair fate, to push past every limit we’ve got. We don’t need anyone’s pity, and we don’t need anyone defining who we are. We’re in control of our own lives. We write our own future!
“Grades? They’re just rocks under our feet as we climb to the top. stepping stones on the path to our dreams!
“I’m standing right here in front of you, and I’m proving with my actions that Class G isn’t trash. We’re not just cannon fodder. We’re the stars about to light up the sky!
“Let’s band together and show them what we’re made of. Let’s make Class A’s arrogant heads bow down. Our names will be the ones they look up to!”
“We’re fighting for ourselves, for Class G’s honor! Are you with me?” Kayla she shouted, her voice ringing out
strong.
Kayla’s words hit like wildfire, instantly igniting the passion in every Class G student. One by one, they straightened up and clenched their fists tight, feeling the heat surging through their chests. That stubborn refusal to be ordinary burned in every pair of eyes.
“Hell yeah! Why should we let them look down on us? If we work hard, we can nail those grades too!” someone shouted, their voice crackling with fighting spirit.
Fear and doubt vanished from their faces, replaced by blazing determination and the courage to take on any challenge. They looked at each other, eyes full of unshaken resolve.
“Yeah! We won the debate, didn’t we? Why can’t we win at studying too?” one shouted.
