Chapter 10 The Worst Contract Ever
Amelia suddenly remembered the contract she had signed before.
She looked at it again. It was really the worst contract ever.
No surprise her so–called “loving family” had made it.
They had set her up from the very start.
At that time, she cared too much about family and didn’t notice the problem.
Well, since things had come to this, she’d face it head–on.
She had planned to return anyway. Some things needed to be fixed.
Now that they wanted to see her so badly, she would go. Hopefully, they wouldn’t regret it.
Jeremy saw her expression change and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Amelin passed him her phone.
Jeremy mapped the chair arm
his long fingers, staring at the contract on her screen.
“A ten–year comtract. 500–million penalty fee if you break it, and the company gets full control of all your jobs.” He snorted. Your family basically signed you up as their servant, didn’t they?”
Amelia’s face stayed calm. “They never treated me like a family.”
Jeremy raised his head. “Do you want me to take care of this for you?”
Amelia shook her head, “No. I want to see how shameless they can be. I’ll go back tomorrow.”
“Okay. If you need help, just call me,” Jeremy replied.
Amelia gave a small nod. “Thanks.”
She quickly replied to their message, saying she would come back tomorrow for sure.
The Nygards read her reply and looked proud, as if they had already won.

The next day, at the Nygard Residence.
Amelia wore a simple, casual ouin as she walked in through the front doors
In the living room, the Nygards were already waiting for her. On the table was a stock transfer agreement.
“Do you think Amelia’s trying to mess with us?” Maxwell asked with a frown.
“She won’t dare. Unless she wants to get sued” Marcelo sneered.

“Exactly. That brat keeps getting worse. After she signs the stock transfer, call the media and cut ties with her. We don’t need her embarrassing us anymore.” Raymond said coldly
“Cut ties? That’s exactly what I want.” Amelia sand as she walked in. Her eyes swept over the three of them, and a mocking smile played on her lips.
“So you finally came, huh?” Raymond ingred slamming his coffee cup on the
Marcelo pushed up his gold–rimmed glasses, his voice sharp “Enough nonsense. Today you must sign this stock transfer agreement, or we’ll take you to court.”
He tapped the contract in his hand.
Emery put on a fake, kind smile. “Amelia, we’re family: Why make things ugly? Give the shares to your brother, and the company will grow stronger.”

Chapter 10 The Worst Contract Ever
Amelia picked up the contract and glanced at it.
So that was their real plan today–to force me to hand over my shares.
As if that would ever happen.
“Grandpa gave me these shares. I’m not signing,” Amelia said firmly.

“You brat! Those belong to our family. You already cut ties with us, so hand them back. What right do you have to keep them?” Raymond shouted.
“Yeah, how can you be so shameless? Keeping all those shares for yourself,” Maxwell added.
They were just jealous because none of them had as many shares as Amelia.
Their grandfather had always been the sharp one. He must have noticed how they spoiled their adopted daughter while ignoring their real daughter.
That’s why, before he passed away, he left most of the company shares to Amelia to protect her.
Looking at this so–called family, Amelia only found it funny.
She calmly tore the stock transfer agreement in half and tossed the pieces onto the floor.
“Did you forget? Grandpa’s will made it clear. These shares belong to me. No one can take them.”
Marcelo’s face turned dark. He jumped to his feet. “Amelia, don’t push us! Remember that contract you signed. If you break it, you owe 500 million. Giving up the shares is the best deal you’ll get.”
“Exactly. Just sign it, and we’ll give you a million as compensation. How about that?” Emery urged.
Amelia gave a short laugh.
Did they really think she was that naive?
These shares were worth billions, and they thought a single million could buy her off?
Amelia asked, “And what if I refuse to sign?”
“Refuse? You don’t have a choice,” Marcelo’s voice was sharp with warning.
“I don’t take threats. I’m not signing the transfer agreement,” Amelia said calmly.
“Marcelo, why waste words? If she won’t sign, she’s not leaving this house. If she dies, we get everything anyway. Why wait?” Maxwell sneered.
See? Even a wolf won’t kill their own cubs.
Yet her family wanted her dead.
Amelia stared at them, voice cold. “Before I came here, I already talked to a lawyer and wrote a will. If I die, all my shares and money go to charity. You won’t get a single cent.”
The Nygards exploded with anger.
Gianna bit her lip and looked sad. “Amelia, I never thought you’d do something like this. We’re still your family. How can you
be so cruel?”
“Gianna, you know what? I’d rather deal with a straightforward person than your fake sweet act. So drop the act, or I’ll slap you, Amelia warned sharply.
Tears filled Gianna’s eyes at once, making her look hurt.
