But Gianna’s eyes couldn’t help sliding back to where Amelia stood.

She kept thinking, If Amelia really lights up the stage and steals the spotlight, then all the cash I’ve blown on promo deals and hype–building will go straight down the drain!
And if Amelia gets more attention, maybe the brothers will start caring about her again.
I’ve spent years carefully winning over Mom, Dad, and the brothers while turning them against that
woman.
This time, no matter what, I can’t let Amelia grab even the tiniest advantage.
Right then, Gianna noticed Zoe walking toward the bathroom.
A thought clicked instantly, and a plan formed.
Her lips curled into the faintest, icy smile as she casually followed behind.
Outside the restroom, Gianna scanned the area.
After making sure no one was watching and no cameras were around, she finally relaxed. At least she wouldn’t be caught on the livestream.
Not long after, Zoe came out, fixing her outfit as she walked.
“Ah!” she jumped, startled to see Gianna suddenly appear. “Why are you here all of a sudden?”
Zoe had a strong feeling this woman had been waiting on purpose.
“I was just heading to the restroom too, but then I saw you and thought we could talk about teaming up,” Gianna said, smiling like she was harmless.
“Huh? Team up?” Zoe looked confused.
“You probably already know my sister, Amelia, and I don’t get along. Since we’re both competing, there’s bound to be endless comparisons.”
Gianna cut straight to the point–time was short, and she’d be walking the runway soon.
“So, you mean…” Zoe squinted at her, catching on but not completely sure.
“Exactly what you’re thinking,” Gianna said, lowering her voice and whispering a few quick words in Zoe’s car.

“I know you fancy Maxwell. Once this works out, I’ll introduce you to him. I’ll even hook you up with some resources to boost your visibility.”
Gianna knew how to bait someone–whether she’d actually deliver later was another thing.
Meanwhile, the host’s booming, excited voice filled the venue as the audience’s lights dimmed, leaving only the runway glowing under the spotlights.
Guests, each dressed more elegantly than the models themselves, were escorted to their seats. Every single one of them was a top industry name.
At that moment, all eyes were locked on the stage. The long–awaited annual Popular Model Contest had finally begun.
Backstage, the models were already in place, adjusting outfits and fixing last–minute makeup, their faces a mix of nerves and anticipation.
Stylists rushed around them, checking every detail to make sure nothing went wrong.
“Break a leg. I really believe we can place high this time,” Rocky said, drawing in a deep breath as he turned to Amelia, trying to encourage her while fighting his own nerves.
It was his first time joining such a big, professional livestreamed competition after being sidelined by Nygard Entertainment for years.
“That’s obvious. Relax,” Amelia said calmly, giving his shoulder a reassuring pat.
Her steady confidence instantly eased his nerves, like she could handle anything with ease.
“By the way, did you remember everything I told you to do?” Amelia asked suddenly.
“Of course,” Rocky said seriously. “I’ll be ready for everything.”
At that moment, Amelia noticed Gianna sneaking glances at her, jealousy practically written on
her face.
She already knew Gianna wouldn’t sit still during the show, so she stayed on guard.
Then, catching Maxwell also watching, she walked straight into the backstage prep area without looking back.
