Chapter 155 Not Just a Birthday Party
Amelia had already noticed the subtle change in Gianna’s mood.

She didn’t even need to guess. Gianna was clearly upset with Isabel and couldn’t stand seeing Marcelo back with his fiancée.
Amelia didn’t bother saying much. She grabbed Patience and Josie and went off to have fun somewhere else.
More drama was bound to happen soon anyway.
“Amelia, you’re really just going to ignore them? I was ready to tell them off!” Josie said angrily, standing up for Amelia.
Just letting it go like this felt so unfair.
“Relax. That drama queen isn’t going to let it go either. It’s her birthday, and she’ll definitely come back to make a scene,” Amelia said.
She knew Gianna too well. She wouldn’t miss a chance like this.
But now there was one more person she couldn’t stand. Gianna would probably deal with Isabel first before coming after her.
No rush.
Just then, they ran into someone else they didn’t want to see.
“Amelia, finally! There you are,” Diana said.
She looked like she was thankful, but her eyes didn’t show any real gratitude–she was just pretending.
“Amelia, thanks to you, my face is fully healed. I haven’t even thanked you properly yet.”
“Don’t thank me. In this world, if you don’t have money, even an ox can’t pull your cart. Without that ten million, you’d still be stuck with a ruined face,” Amelia said bluntly, as usual.
Honestly, even with money, if it weren’t for the Alchemist Guild, Diana would’ve been stuck with her ruined face, just waiting to die.
And she’d die a really awful, disgusting, and humiliating death.
Diana was furious.

Damn girl, why did she have to be this blunt?

“Amelia, is that how you talk to my mom? She’s your future mother–in–law!” Vincent said, clearly annoyed.
He was a devoted son and would never allow his future wife to even think about talking back to
his mother.
Even though he wanted to make up with Amelia, seeing Diana get disrespected made him mad.
“Hey, we broke up ages ago. Can you stop living in your own world?” Amelia shot back.
“Not only is he living in his own world, he’s also so full of himself. Mama’s boys are just scary,” Patience and Josie said, rolling their eyes at Vincent for what felt like the hundredth time.
Good thing they came along today. Otherwise, Amelia would’ve been bullied by these clueless people for sure.
People with no real skills always think they’re better than they are.
Someone like Jeremy, on the other hand, was the real deal. He was rich, talented, and so considerate toward Amelia.
Patience and Josie could easily see that he liked her.
If Amelia and Jeremy ended up together, they’d make a great couple.
“Vincent, don’t talk like that. Amelia’s been really nice to me. You should be nice to her too,” Diana said, still trying to get on Amelia’s good side.
She didn’t want to scare her away yet.
She planned to show her true side only after Amelia married into the family.
“By the way, Amelia, when did you learn medicine? Did you cured your aunt’s illness?”
Diana still couldn’t believe it. She always thought Amelia was useless, but it turned out she had
real skills.
Something didn’t add up. Otherwise, why would Amelia hide something so impressive?
Maybe she was pretending to be more amazing than she really was.
So, Diana decided to test her a little.
However, Amelia didn’t even bother to respond.
