Marcelo had no choice left, no path open except one.
He wanted so badly to save Gianna’s reputation. He wanted it for her, but he also wanted it for Nygard Entertainment.
Yet the last few days had been nothing but chaos. Endless meetings with the board. Public relations tearing their hair out.
Every possible solution crushed before it could even breathe.
“Amelia cut off every road we had. There’s no fixing this. She’s ruthless. She carries Nygard blood, but she feels nothing.
“She has no family in her heart.”
Maxwell’s anger roared to life beside him. His chest heaved as he shouted, his voice cracking with fury. “And what does she even gain by wrecking Nygard Group? Gianna is her sister. Yet she turned on her without mercy. That woman has no conscience at all!”
The room trembled with their rage.
But Gianna’s soft voice broke in, calm on the surface, sharp underneath.
“Marcelo, Maxwell, don’t blame Amelia alone. She’s strong now. She started her own company. She raised a group of new stars. She’s better at this than Nygard Entertainment.
I wasn’t good enough. I let the family down. I’ll work harder from now on. I’ll fix it.”
It nearly sounded like she was defending Amelia, but every word she breathed lit the flames further.
Her words slid out like silk, yet each one pierced like steel.
Instead of calming the brothers, she drove the knife deeper. Their anger boiled over.
She was obviously adding fuel to fire, and the tension nearly snapped.
The brothers, however, were mired in their fury, and they did not hear the venom she was feeding them.
They did not think there was any problem with Gianna. Instead, they cursed Amelia as well.
“That ungrateful brat! We thought she’d leave and keep her head down. But she opened a company just to strike at us.”

“She planned this all along. She’ll never stop until we’re destroyed.”

Gianna’s lips curled in secret satisfaction. Stirring their hate had been effortless.
But Marcelo’s next words cracked her smile. His voice was low, hard, and cutting.
“Gianna, you’re not innocent either. We gave you chance after chance. We paved the road. We handed you every resource. And yet it always falls apart. Why does it always end like this? Look within yourself. It’s not someone else’s fault every single time.”
The blow struck clean.
If Amelia had been there, she would have stared in shock. Marcelo, at last, showed a glimmer of clarity.
Only a flicker, but it was there.
Gianna’s eyes filled with hurt, her voice shaking as she lashed back. “That’s not fair, brother! The lip–syncing wasn’t my choice. You told me to do it.
“You said my voice wasn’t strong enough. You said I couldn’t match Selena. When I became popular, you panicked.
“You told me to pull back before the truth slipped out.”
Her chest heaved as tears spilled. “Now everything is ruined, and you throw the blame on me? Marcelo, you’re cruel. You’re heartless. I don’t want to see you again!”
Her sobs broke into the air, heavy and loud. She turned away and stormed off, her body shaking with each step, her cries echoing down the hall.
Marcelo’s lips parted. No words came. He watched her vanish, helpless and silent.
Wait, now she’s pinning the blame on us?
Every path she tried had collapsed. The lip–sync scandal. Modeling. Acting. Even live streaming. Nothing ever worked. She had failed in them all.
Anyone else could’ve at least made something work, but not her.
Maxwell spun on him, his face red with anger. “Marcelo, why would you scold Gianna like that? It was our plan from the start. She did what we told her. She’s innocent.”
Marcelo clenched his jaw. Unbelievable! How unreasonable can they be?
He wanted to fight back. But the shrill ring of his phone cut him off.
