Raymond pulled Regina back into his arms again. “It’s not just me anymore. Amelia and everyone in the Nygard family have their own opinions and conflicts.”
As he spoke, Raymond sighed softly, perfectly on cue. No one noticed the faint glint of calculation that flashed in his eyes.
Regina kept testing him, trying to figure out exactly where his bottom line was.
She needed to know if he was truly helpless or if there was still room to maneuver.
After pressing him several times with no results, she finally concluded that he really had no solution left.
All this time, Raymond had always given her whatever she wanted. He had never once refused her.
This was the first time he had said no.
So Regina was certain that he really could not help her this time.
A sharp light flickered in her eyes as she spoke again, her tone soft and thoughtful.
“Raymond, I know the Nygard Group has been struggling lately. I really do understand how hard it has been for you.”
She gave a few words of comfort, then smoothly shifted the topic.
“Didn’t you tell me before that the herbs you’ve been cultivating aren’t growing well? That a lot of the fields are drying out?
“Well, I just happened to hear about an expert who specializes in growing medicinal plants. He can save those fields and stop the Nygard Group from taking such a huge loss.”
“Oh? Really? Regina, where did you find this expert? Do I know him?”
Raymond perked up immediately, interest flashing across his face.
After all, Nygard Group’s main business was built on that industry. As CEO, he knew countless experts in the field.
If someone was a big name in the country or even internationally, he definitely knew them.
He was curious to see who this expert might be.

Chapter 246 Region’s Secret Move
Regina’s eyes flickered. “Actually, he’s not famous at all, more like a local herbal doctor.

“But you can’t underestimate people like that. He’s been doing this for decades. His hands–on experience might be worth more than all those lab theories combined.
“Besides, we’re out of options right now. Why not give it a try? What if it works?”
Then she added, “You know every person I’ve introduced to you before has turned out to be helpful. I went through a lot of effort and connections to find this one, for you, me, and Gianna.”
In other words, she wanted him to know how much time, money, and effort she had put in, how loyal and devoted she was.
Raymond nodded, clearly touched. He took her hand again and said with sincerity, “Regina, you really are my greatest support. I don’t know what I’d do without you.
“Unlike Emery, who only knows how to live comfortably like some high–class lady. She’s never any help at all.”
Everyone liked to be flattered, and Regina was no exception. Especially when she could be praised while someone else was put down in comparison.
She thought smugly, Not only am I beautiful, I’m also capable. Even Raymond is completely under my control.
Emery, that clueless woman, could never compare. She’s an embarrassment.
“Just so you know,” Regina said carefully, “this potion isn’t simple. I don’t really know how he made it, and I don’t have much of it.
“I want to send it to the Nygard Group under Gianna’s name. That way, she’ll get the credit for saving the crops, and those shareholders won’t dare say a word, right?”
As always, Regina was shrewd. She would never hand this credit to Raymond.
Besides, he was already at the top of the Nygard Group. He didn’t need any extra accomplishments.
But Gianna did.
Gianna needed this opportunity to earn recognition and step into the Nygard Group’s core departments.
That way, in the future, she and Regina could work from the inside together.
Raymond didn’t respond right away, but his sharp eyes darkened slightly for a brief moment
