In the end, he couldn’t help but sigh. “Jeremy’s got some charm. Even a gorgeous, wild beauty like her has fallen for him.”
He was jealous. He wished all kinds of beautiful women would fall for him so he could build a harem with thousands of beauties!
“Amelia, you … you’re such a hopeless romantic! Can’t you get real?!”
“Ha! Why should I when I’ve got a super–hot, rich, powerful, and way more powerful than you treating me like a princess?”
Amelia had totally let loose. She said whatever made her happy.
After all, Jeremy wasn’t here, so using his name to annoy people felt pretty satisfying.
“You! You!” Vincent was losing it, his eyes red with anger.
He finally realized the truth–the woman before him really didn’t love him anymore. She’d
move on!
He used to believe Amelia wasn’t shallow, that she didn’t care about money, fame, or looks.
And even if she did care about those things, he wasn’t doing that badly!
Okay, maybe just a little worse than that bastard—but still!
The more he faced reality, the more it hurt. He just couldn’t let it go. For a moment, he even felt like he couldn’t go on living.
“Amelia, let’s stop wasting time talking to them,” Isabel said.
She had been quiet the whole time. When she saw Vincent’s face turn dark as night and his eyes go bloodshot. She got scared.
No matter what, Amelia was just a woman. If Vincent really lost it and tried to hit her, what could she do?
Better to get away from this crazy guy fast.
Thinking that, she quickly grabbed Amelia and pulled her toward the counter to pay the bill so they could get out of there.
“Let’s eat somewhere else.”

She didn’t care about the food they ordered. The money wasn’t a big deal–consider it a free meal for those two jerks.
Amelia didn’t argue. She let Isabel pull her away.
The show was over, and Vincent was fuming. Staying any longer was just a waste of time.
Vincent watched them walk away. He wanted to stop Amelia or say something to make her stay, but in the end, he did nothing.
He was used to being treated like a big shot, always being praised and flattered.
After being compared so harshly, he just couldn’t swallow his pride and chase after her.
Behind him, Marcelo—who’d been watching and laughing the whole time–finally stopped grinning. He patted Vincent on the shoulder with a sympathetic look.
“Stop spacing out! Pull yourself together. Worst case, go win her back later.”
He was all for this idiot trying to win back his sister.
That’s because he wanted to win back Isabel, too, but didn’t want to suffer alone. Misery loves company, after all.
Nice.
“You really think I still have a chance to win Amelia?” Vincent asked, giving him skeptical look.
He didn’t believe for a second that this guy was actually being nice.
“Absolutely!” I need the entertainment!
“I’m planning to win Isabel back, too. Let’s hope we both succeed.” He gave Vincent’s shoulder a pat.
There was another big reason behind it–Marcelo didn’t want Gianna to marry into the Desters.
That manipulative woman had played him for so long. He hadn’t even started getting revenge yet, so how could he let her get what she wanted?
Especially since she stole that engagement from his real sister.
“Okay, I’ll think about how to get her back then.”
Hearing his buddy’s words, Vincent actually felt a bit touched. For the first time in a while, he regained some confidence.
