Miguel was usually calm and rational, but today, for some reason, he just couldn’t control his
temper.
He felt cursed, like every bad thing imaginable had decided to happen at once.
He hadn’t felt this way before.
Back then, Marcelo and Maxwell would often complain about their bad luck, but Miguel never paid much attention.
He had always thought his life was smooth sailing–so why did it suddenly feel like everything was going wrong?
“If you can’t drain some of that nonsense out of your brain, how am I supposed to help you?”
Marcelo couldn’t be bothered to argue with him. He simply gestured for them to either leave or stay quiet.
Then he slowly turned his head, his eyes landing on Amelia. His cold, stern expression instantly softened.
Warmth flickered in his gaze, and his whole presence shifted. The intimidating aura melted away, replaced by a calm, gentle tone that made him seem like a completely different person.
“Amelia, go ahead and say what you want. Ignore those useless people.”
With that, he managed to insult not only Gianna but also Miguel in one sentence.
The two of them were furious, but given the situation, they didn’t dare talk back.
Amelia simply arched a brow. She didn’t feel flattered or emotional about Marcelo siding with her–it barely registered.
She stood up
and poised.
and walked to the front. Dressed in a sleek, custom–made suit, she looked elegant
Already beautiful, she now radiated confidence and authority. Standing at the podium, she drew everyone’s attention without even trying.
“The issue Ms. Gianna just mentioned is far too one–sided and lacks any real practicality,” she
said.
“Forget about developing new breeds–even increasing the yield of rare medicinal plants would be nearly impossible with her approach.

“Fortunately, I’ve put together some materials I’d like to share with everyone.”
Amelia had predicted this would happen and had prepared her plan and slides in advance.
Now, she presented with total case, her explanations detailed and precise, her tone steady and composed.
“She only talked about theory,” Amelia continued. “She completely ignored the real–world variables and technical limitations.
“For example, in this global problem she mentioned, Gianna’s solution might work in an ideal scenario.
“But in the real world, with greening and climate conditions, the cost would be enormous and the technology impossible to execute.”
She picked up a marker and quickly wrote a few key data points and formulas on the whiteboard.
Gianna’s face turned darker by the second. She couldn’t stand it anymore.
“You’re just talking theory too,” Gianna shot back. “Do you even have any hands–on experience?”
Amelia gave a cold little laugh. “Of course I do. I’ve worked on a similar project before.
“We ran into even tougher problems there, but through deep analysis and research, we solved them. I’ll demonstrate the process for everyone in a bit.”
She already knew Gianna would try to challenge her, hoping to turn others against her.
But Amelia had come prepared to prove herself with facts and action–and make sure Gianna couldn’t talk her way out of it again.
Gianna never expected her to speak so fluently and confidently.
Not only did Amelia expand on her earlier points, but she also added fresh insights and practical solutions.
Although Gianna hadn’t specialized deeply in this field and hadn’t practiced much after graduation, she still understood the basics.
More importantly, her suggestions actually seemed practical, backed by plenty of real examples and research reports that supported her points.
Not only that, but she even had the nerve to claim she’d lead everyone in a live demonstration.
