After picking Demi up, they headed to Sunnyvale Club.

Amelia parked her car and glanced out at the wide–open riding fields. She was stunned.

Land here cost a fortune, yet this stable stretched out endlessly. Whoever invested in it must have put in billions.

In the distance, green hills framed the horizon, while lush grass spread across the fields. About a dozen fine horses were being trained under the guidance of professional riders.

“Amelia! Look at that white horse!” Demi pointed toward the stables, her eyes sparkling. “It’s gorgeous! I want to ride that one!”

The stable manager hurried over to greet them. “Welcome, ladies. I’m Nathaniel Bradley, the manager here. You’ve got a good eye–that’s ‘Snowpaw,‘ a Uthium horse we just brought in. But it does have a fiery temper.”

Once they picked their horses, they went to change into riding gear.
