Chapter 811 Send the Details
Evie was stunned.
“I didn’t get any call from Stella.”
:
Speaking of Stella, she really did envy Marie for having such an adorable little sister.

But because Stella was Marie’s sister, even though Evie found her cute, she never got too close.
After all, Marie was the jealous type; if she actually became too friendly with Stella, knowing Marie’s temperament, who knew what kind of scene she’d make next?
Marie said, “Of course you didn’t get a call–Stella rang me instead. She said she’s not that close with you and asked me to call on her behalf.”
“Wait–hold on. What did you just say?” Evie blinked, a little dazed. Marie’s explanation was all over the place, and her brain had completely stalled out.
Marie sighed. “Your brother told Stella to call you and ask you to protect that woman. Stella said she wasn’t close enough to you, so she asked me to call instead–to tell you to protect her. That’s it. Your brother said to protect her. Got it?”
Eddie asked her to protect someone…
“I got
it!” Evie said quickly.
Marie snorted. “Your brother really cares about that woman, huh? Haven’t you figured it out yet?”
Evie fell silent. Right–wasn’t that the obvious sign? If he didn’t care, why would he go through so much trouble to make sure she was protected?
Still, it was strange.
“Can’t he protect her himself?”
“Maybe he’s shy,” Marie said.
Evie went quiet again. Uh…
Marie went on, “From what I’ve heard, your sister–in–law’s supposed to arrive in Yalvoria today.”
“Then what are we waiting for? Send me her ID details now,” Evie said without hesitation.

The moment she heard the woman was coming to Yalvoria, she made up her mind on the spot. Eddie, that stubborn idiot–she’d introduced him to countless women over the years, and he never liked any of them.
This time, she’d see for herself what kind of woman could actually catch his attention.
“I’ll have Stella send it to you,” Marie replied. She wasn’t familiar with that Rianne girl anyway.
“Fine, tell her to hurry,” Evie said. “And who’s after her?”
“Her ex–boyfriend’s family.”
“She has an ex–boyfriend?” Evie asked.
Marie raised a brow. “Is that a problem?”
“Nope. Not at all.”
Evie didn’t care about problems. As long as it was a woman her brother liked–if he didn’t dare make a move, then she would. If they waited for that dude to confess on his own, who knew how many
years
it would take? To hell with that.
She’d just snatch the woman and bring her to him herself.
“As long as it’s fine,” Marie said. “You better protect your sister–in–law well–your brother begged Stella for two hours straight.”
Evie froze.
She couldn’t even imagine it—Eddie begging anyone, especially Stella, over a woman. What on earth was happening?
“Then why didn’t he just call me himself?” she muttered.
Marie hesitated. Smart people were such a pain–they always had too many questions.
“Maybe he was afraid you’d ask too much? I bet even if you called him right now, he still wouldn’t admit it.”
Evie let out a cold snort.
“I don’t need him to admit anything. What if I just grab the woman and put her right in front
of him?”
“Perfect,” Marie said brightly. “That’s exactly what I was waiting to hear.”
They kept chatting for a while, with Marie feeding Evie all kinds of persuasive nonsense. She
