Charles was left completely bewildered after Chandler’s call.
He only had a vague idea—it seemed to be about Zinnia.
“Mr. Morrison, the CEO rushed to our Harbor Town branch last night to handle an emergency project. He just stepped out of a meeting.”
“What did you say?”
Chandler was stunned. “He went all the way to Harbor Town in the middle of the night? Seriously, is he out of his mind?”
He distinctly remembered telling him last night that Zinnia was in serious trouble. And instead of doing anything about it, he ran off to Harbor Town?
“Exactly.”
Charles blurted out in agreement. Honestly, he thought his boss was losing it—and not just a little.
“Mr. Morrison, is Mrs. Ford the one in trouble?”
“Go tell Landon his wife is currently facing a medical review panel. She could lose her job. Tell him to get back here—now.”
Before Charles could say a word, Chandler hung up.
Charles stared at his phone in disbelief.
He remembered the message Yvonne had sent him on WhatsApp and hurriedly opened it.
It was a link to a livestream.
At that moment, the stream was broadcasting the medical review of Dr. Zinnia’s emergency surgery on Xander—the night she’d performed the aortic dissection repair.
The camera was trained directly on the surgical footage from that night, while a panel of medical experts analyzed every detail.
The atmosphere was tense and solemn.
