“Mr. Ford, are you really that shameless?”
You talk tough one minute, and the next you turn around and contradict yourself?
Landon caught the look on Charles’s face—an expression so complex it was hard to describe. He felt a flash of discomfort.
“What are you looking at? My hand hurts. I’m heading back to Veridian City to get this bandage changed.”
Charles was silent.
What, is Harbor Town hospital not good enough to treat your precious hand?
He grumbled inwardly but still hurried off to make the arrangements.
The medical hearing dragged on for over three hours before finally wrapping up.
After thorough analysis from several leading cardiologists, and a review of Xander’s medical reports, the conclusion was clear—
“Dr. Quinn’s surgery was flawless. As for Mr. Jensen’s post-op complications, when all other causes are eliminated, there’s only one explanation left: the anticoagulant dosage in his system was insufficient, which led to a blood clot in the heart.”
“But isn’t the attending doctor the one who prescribes the medication dosage?”
Mr. and Mrs. Jensen, who had been waiting for their moment, finally found an opening.
As soon as the lead specialist announced the results, Juniper jumped in:
“These are the records from the hospital’s system—Dr. Quinn prescribed the proper post-op medication for Mr. Jensen. There was nothing wrong with the dosage.”
It was Zephyr who spoke, pulling up Xander’s complete medical file on the screen. Every detail of Xander’s care was laid out in black and white.
“So what’s that supposed to mean? First you say the dose was too low, and now you claim there was no problem? Are you messing with us?”
Rosalie’s voice was shrill as she cut in.
“Dr. Quinn’s prescription was correct. As for why the medication in the patient’s system was insufficient, the hospital will investigate thoroughly,” Zephyr said, his tone grave.
