Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 263

At that moment, Juniper pushed his way through the crowd, his face flushed with panic as he hurried toward them.

“Noelle, what are you doing here? Get back to your seat, now.”

Juniper was so angry he could barely think straight. If he didn’t get his daughter out of here immediately, he’d be the next one to collapse from stress.

He’d told that idiot Rosalie to keep an eye on Noelle tonight, to make sure she didn’t cause any trouble. But in the brief moment he’d stepped away to use the restroom, Noelle had slipped out and managed to stir up a scene.

Did these two—mother and daughter—really want to see the Jensen family fall any faster?

“Landon, Noelle hasn’t been herself lately. I’m so sorry for the trouble—really, I am. I’ll take her away right now.”

He apologized repeatedly to everyone at Landon’s table, and despite Noelle’s resistance, he dragged her out of the room.

As for the rest of the dinner party, Juniper knew he didn’t have the nerve to stay. Who knew what disaster would befall the Jensens if he stuck around any longer?

When everyone settled back into their seats, the mood was uneasy, a mix of awkward glances and carefully guarded expressions.

People looked at Landon with a blend of sympathy, mockery, and—most of all—the sense that he deserved every bit of this mess. If he hadn’t indulged Noelle’s every whim for so long, she wouldn’t have dared make a scene in the first place.

Only Zinnia remained entirely detached, a bystander from start to finish. She didn’t comment on Noelle’s outburst, nor did her expression betray any interest.

The incident faded as quickly as it had erupted, everyone tacitly agreeing to pretend it never happened.

Dinner continued, punctuated by performances from top-billed pop stars—dazzling singers and dancers who stole the spotlight and easily distracted the crowd from the earlier fiasco.

But Landon barely glanced at the stage, his mind elsewhere, eyes distant and unfocused. Leanna’s relentless chatter buzzed in his ears.
