Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 286

Juniper couldn’t have cared less about Rosalie getting caught.

It was just a dog, after all. At worst, they’d have to pay some compensation. As long as Landon stepped in, Zinnia could kick up all the fuss she wanted—it wouldn’t matter.

Right now, his mind was on something else entirely.

The advance payment for that mall project in Eastside—the Ford Group still hadn’t transferred the funds to Infinity Structures Inc.’s account.

Juniper was worried that pushing too hard might rub Landon the wrong way.

But without a clear answer, he just couldn’t shake the anxiety gnawing at him.

He turned to Noelle. “Go talk to Landon. Bring up your mom’s situation, and while you’re at it, ask—subtly—when the advance for that Eastside project will come through. Don’t be too direct, though, or Landon might think we’re just after his money.”

Juniper rambled on, completely oblivious to the darkening look on Noelle’s face.

“Are you serious? Why do I always have to do your dirty work?” Noelle’s voice was icy, her irritation barely concealed. “All these years, how many favors have you pulled from Ford Group through me? Can’t you figure something out for once? If I keep pestering him, won’t Landon start to resent me?”

Juniper was momentarily stunned by his daughter’s hard-edged tone. Still, he couldn’t ignore the fact that the Jensen family’s only leverage with Landon was Noelle.

So even though he was annoyed, he tried to placate her. “Sweetheart, I know the Jensen family owes you a lot. But you’re the only one Landon ever listens to. I have no choice but to rely on you.”

“Rely on me?” Noelle let out a cold laugh. “Funny, then, that you only ever think about handing Infinity Structures Inc. to my brother. Never once have you considered letting me take over.”

The color drained from Juniper’s face at her words.
