Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 309

After speaking, Noelle hurried out of the Jensen family’s estate and got into a car.

But this time, her efforts were destined to fail.

Juniper spent most of the day at home, restless and anxious, waiting for any word from Noelle. But no message came.

It wasn’t until dusk that Noelle finally returned home, disappointment written all over her face.

“Well? Noelle, what did Landon say?” Juniper asked as soon as she stepped inside.

Noelle shook her head weakly. “I couldn’t find him. He’s blocked me on WhatsApp and on my phone. This afternoon, I even drove out to Royal Bay, but the security at the gate wouldn’t let me in. They stopped me before I even got close.”

The words seemed to wound her all over again.

Her eyes turned red, filling quickly with tears.

“Dad, am I really going to lose Landon?”

She still refused to accept it. Her gaze grew more and more desperate.

“I was so close—so close to becoming Mrs. Ford. How did things turn out like this?”

“If only I hadn’t gone abroad. If I’d stayed, I could have been with Landon all along. Zinnia would never have had a chance to sneak in, and I’d already be Mrs. Ford.”

Her eyes, rimmed with angry tears, settled on Juniper, her voice trembling with accusation.

“This is all your and my brother’s fault. That family already settled everything with money, but you insisted on sending me away. If you hadn’t, I never would have lost Landon.”

Juniper’s nerves were already frayed from work, and hearing Noelle blame him so righteously sent him over the edge.

He raised his hand and slapped her across the face.

“And you still have the nerve to bring up what happened back then? If you hadn’t gotten yourself into trouble—if someone hadn’t died—do you think I would have sent you away? Fine. Why don’t you go tell Landon exactly why I shipped you overseas?”
