Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 325

Zephyr, sitting across from Yuri, glanced up to look at Yuri, then at Landon, before quietly lowering his gaze, doing his best to fade into the background.

After all, one was his nephew, and the other his prized protégé—he couldn’t afford to take sides.

Zinnia still felt a pang of discomfort at being called “Cozy.” The nickname didn’t sit right with her. But now wasn’t the moment to correct Yuri, so she let it slide.

The next second, though, she heard a low chuckle from Landon. He reached out to shake Yuri’s hand.

As their hands clasped, Landon tightened his grip, just a shade too forceful, letting a trace of malice seep in.

Yuri’s expression shifted almost imperceptibly. He responded in kind, tightening his own grip.

All the while, both men kept those smug, pleasant smiles fixed on their faces.

“Pleasure to meet you. I’m Cozy’s husband—Landon.”

Zinnia’s expression froze.

Hearing Landon call her “Cozy” only made her dislike the nickname more, and for a moment, a wave of irritation swept over her.

Yuri’s smile never wavered. “So you’re the one who left Cozy behind in Norway for another woman—almost got her killed in that avalanche, didn’t you?” His words were pleasant, but he didn’t loosen his grip. In fact, when he said “husband,” there was a sharp, unmistakable edge of mockery in his voice.

The words landed on Landon like a thunderclap. His face went pale, the self-satisfied bravado he’d just shown completely vanishing.

His hand went limp in Yuri’s grasp before he quickly let go.

Yuri calmly withdrew his hand and settled back in his chair, looking for all the world like he’d just won a silent battle.

Landon, on the other hand, stood frozen, defeated and humiliated, unable to utter a single word.
