Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 377

Damn it, Landon. You really are hopeless.

The more Landon thought about it, the heavier his heart felt, a sour ache growing inside him.

Snow drifted down, settling on his trembling lashes, making the redness at the corners of his eyes stand out even more sharply.

He didn’t dare look back. He couldn’t bring himself to beg her for another chance.

He thought, maybe letting her go—letting her be with Yuri—was truly what was best for her.

“The snow’s coming down harder. We should head back soon,” Zinnia said, dusting the snow off her coat and turning to Yuri as the last of the fireworks faded above them.

She glanced at Yuri, studying his expression, then asked, “Yuri, feeling any better after the fireworks?”

Yuri was caught off guard by the question. He hesitated for a moment, then smiled and ruffled Zinnia’s hair. “Were you worried I’d be in a bad mood tonight? Is that why you kept me company for so long?”

Zinnia grinned, not bothering to deny it. “Come on, it’s a good day. No reason to mope around—let’s be happy.”

Yuri nodded. “Alright.”

When they got home, Yuri headed upstairs. He’d barely set foot inside when his phone rang—it was Landon.

His gaze darkened, but he picked up anyway. “Cousin, what’s up?”

The word “cousin” was drawn out, tinged with a mocking, almost playful edge.

Landon’s low voice came through the line. “Tell me what you want, and I’ll give it to you.”

Yuri’s expression froze for a split second, then he let out a soft laugh. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Yuri, I don’t have time to play games with you. I know you and your mother didn’t just come back to the Ford family out of nowhere.”
