Too Good for You: The Ex-Wife You Lost novel Chapter 135

Jenna couldn't stop crying. "We don't want you to leave, captain, but we know that you won't be happy if you stay in the intensive training camp. We don't want you to be unhappy."

She handed the present she had prepared to Noelle. "This is my favorite pillow. I can only fall asleep when I'm holding it at night. I'm giving this to you, hoping that you'll get plenty of sleep no matter where you go. I also hope that you'll think of me when you look at it every day."

Jenna's crying intensified during her explanation.

Noelle wiped the tears from her eyes, laughing helplessly. "How will you sleep if you give me your pillow?"

Jenna shook her head, saying, "I'll use your pillow instead, captain. I'm going to become as amazing as you!"

"She hasn't even left yet, but you're already blubbering like a child," Jayden berated as he pushed Jenna aside. "Captain, I'm giving you my favorite race car model. I had to save up for a long time before I could afford it. I hope that you'll be an awesome racer in the future!"

Noelle's lips curved upward, feeling as if her heart was melting into a puddle of goo.

Felix's tone was colored with bashfulness when he said, "I'm giving you my favorite wood carving, captain. I hope it'll give you good luck."

"My present for you is a bracelet, captain. It's inlaid with moonstones, my favorite gem. I hope you can wear it and compete in the International Grand Prix in my place."

"I got a fountain pen for you, captain. You can use it when your fans ask for your signature in the future. I can pretend that I'm there by your side if you do."

Noelle's arms were overflowing with gifts by the time everyone was done giving her their presents. Gratitude, satisfaction, and warmth flickered over her face as she looked at the presents quietly.

"Thank you, everyone," she said gently, suppressing her emotions. "I'll take good care of the presents you've given me."

She smiled and continued, "Don't worry. It's not like I won't come back. I'll return once the International Grand Prix is over."

Someone poked Alexis, saying, "What present did you get for your mentor? Why haven't you given it to her yet? Everyone's curious."

Looking a little embarrassed, Alexis told everyone to wait while she retrieved her present. It didn't take long for her to return with a pair of worn-out racing gloves. Despite their condition, Alexis cherished them deeply.

"These were the gloves that my idol, Sheila, wore when she was training," she said solemnly. "They're also my most treasured possession."

She looked a little anxious as she gazed at Noelle. "I'm giving this pair of gloves to you. I believe that you'll become a racer who's as incredible as Sheila. In fact, I believe that you'll even surpass her one day. I hope that you'll wait for me at the International Grand Prix."

Alexis was determined to stand on the same stage that Sheila once stood on, just like Noelle. She wanted to achieve the same glory that Sheila once did. It was her ultimate goal in life.
