Too Good for You: The Ex-Wife You Lost novel Chapter 72

Hazel was completely lost, thinking Jayden was just throwing a tantrum.

Jayden wasn't much to look at, but his family background was decent, and since they were on the same team, she always treated him like a sidekick. Even if she occasionally ticked him off, all it took was a little coaxing, and he'd come around.

She figured it was the same today, so she put on a helpless little smile. "Jayden, what did I do to make you so mad?"

She thought maybe he was upset because she hadn't stuck around to hang out with him earlier.

She even had her excuse lined up, ready to smooth things over. But before she could say another word, Jayden barked at her in a cold and sharp voice, "You've got some nerve!

"What's that name you saved me under, huh? You actually called me 'Ugly Guy'!"

He shoved his phone at her, showing her the screenshot.

Hazel's pupils shrank. She grabbed her own phone in a panic. "No way... That's not—"

The screenshot was clearly sent from her side, but she'd never taken one like that!

"Are you still trying to deny it?"

Jayden's eyes were bloodshot with anger.

"I treated you like a friend. Nobody looked out for you more than me in the intensive training camp! And you? You played me like I was just some fool you could string along!"

And saving his contact name as "Ugly Guy" was the part that burned the most.

She opened her mouth to explain, but he cut her off with another furious shout. "From now on, we're done! Don't ever talk to me again!"

He stormed off before she could chase after him. And immediately, the other two guys she'd been messing around with from the intensive camp training called her one after the other, each furious, tearing into her on the phone.

She was stunned and couldn't even figure out what was going on until she checked her phone and saw that her private chats with those guys had been leaked. Even worse, the whole mess had already made its way onto the Internet, with gossip accounts fueling the flames.

Her vision went black.

If this got out, wouldn't all those guys she's been keeping on the hook finally see the truth?

...

Noelle had slept like a rock. Since she had the day off from training, she got up feeling fresh and called Alexis to head down the mountain with her, driving the car from Divine Group.

Alexis sat in the passenger seat with a cool and blank face as usual. "Hazel cried all night. She asked for leave today, too, and said she needed to deal with something. Those chats of hers..."
