Too Good for You: The Ex-Wife You Lost novel Chapter 77

When Noelle walked down, Raymond and his bodyguards had just arrived.

Wilson followed right behind her, smirking. "Ms. Number 7, didn't you say yesterday that you'd be the one providing the car for today? So where is it? I don't see anything."

Noelle stayed calm.

Raymond looked at her, too, but he kept it polite. "If it can't be found, I'll figure something else out. Otherwise, I'll just sit this game out."

No one could really be blamed for this. Noelle had no obligation to help track down a modified race car in the first place.

"No rush," Noelle said before glancing at her phone. "The car's almost here."

Wilson curled his lip. "You'd die if you stopped fronting for just one second, huh?"

Even if she was stalling, sooner or later, she'd get exposed. He couldn't figure out why she insisted on putting on a show like this, thinking there was no point.

But Raymond agreed to wait for her car.

While they waited, the rich heirs Wilson had called over started showing up one by one. Before long, a staffer walked in asking, "Excuse me, which one of you is Mr. Lloyd? There's a modified car outside that needs your signature."

Raymond frowned, looking at Noelle.

She nodded, signaling him to go sign.

So, he got up and headed out.

Wilson perked right up, grabbing the others to go watch the show. He moved so aggressively that he nearly knocked Alexis over.

Alexis just rolled her eyes.

They all soon gathered at the entrance.

On the back of a massive truck sat a giant item wrapped in cardboard. From its shape, it did look like a racecar.

The truck driver pulled out the paperwork for Raymond to sign.

Wilson's friends burst out laughing.

"Mr. Lloyd, what kind of car did you even get? Who delivers a race car on a moving truck?"

Someone laughed. "Who hauls a race car in a truck? That's so low-class!"

"Could it be from a junkyard?"

The laughter wouldn't stop. Raymond's jaw tightened, and he snapped at them, "Shut up!"

Then, he turned to Noelle.
