Noelle nodded. "Number 9, and I will just change and head out. We won't be joining the dinner."

Raymond didn't push it. Someone like Noelle had the freedom to choose where to go, but he was still thinking about the modified sports car. "About the car…"

Noelle chuckled. "My friend said the car isn't for sale, but he's fine with letting you drive it for two months. I'll pass you his contact information. He has a bunch of modded cars. Since you were both into racing, you should hit the track together sometime."

Raymond was visibly surprised. Anyone with mods like that wasn't ordinary. Noelle offered up the connection so casually that Raymond was at a loss for words.

He used to think that Noelle raced for the money, but now she was a mystery to him. "Your fee for this race has been wired to you."

He skipped pleasantries. "Next time I get a nice modified car, you can take it for a spin."

That basically meant he was giving her the car.

Noelle couldn't be bothered. "I already have a car to get around in, so I'm good. I don't need more cars sitting around."

After saying that, she waved her hand. "We're heading out. Thanks."

Hearing this, Wilson was livid. He thought to himself, "Are you kidding me? Mr. Lloyd doesn't just give cars away.

"You won't find an average ride in his collection, and he doesn't own anything that goes for less than one million dollars. How can she turn him down? That's ungrateful."

With a cheeky smile, he sidled up to Raymond. "If she won't take it, then I will. How about giving one to me instead?"

Raymond was annoyed just looking at him. "Get lost!"

Wilson was speechless. The smile instantly vanished from his face. Nobody understood how hurt he was.
