Urging Him to Get a Divorce novel Chapter 11

Julian glanced at Aveline and added, Good looks don’t excuse bad behavior.

Jasmine smiled at him. Julian, you’re handsome too, but you’re definitely not a jerk.

When teased, Julian felt his face flush slightly. He glanced at Aveline again.

But Aveline was walking straight ahead, not noticing the exchange. She just smiled faintly and said nothing.

She thought, I made her stance clear just now. Xavier will probably stop thinking I was just throwing a fit.

In the next few days, she needed to find time to meet him and get the divorce certificate as soon as possible, so he wouldn’t think she was putting on an act.

Xavier and Gerald stepped into the elevator. Gerald reached out to press the button for the 18th floor, then turned to Xavier.

You’re the only one who’d put up with her for so many years.

There was a calm stillness in Xavier’s dark eyes. He stared at the elevator numbers in silence, saying nothing.

Gerald pressed, She’s just bold because she’s your wife. What are you hesitating for? Sign the agreement. Once it’s done, she’ll definitely regret it and come crawling back to you.

Xavier’s voice remained calm. I’m not hesitating. I’ll sign it whenever she sets a time.

Hearing that, Gerald immediately laughed, She’s just stalling. If you really push for it, she’ll be scared out of her wits.

Xavier smiled casually. It seemed that he didn’t care.

They got off the elevator and entered the presidential suite, Gerald looked around, grinning. Did you have this décor done to Josie’s taste? If she knows, she’ll be yelling, asking to stay here.

Xavier walked to the wine cabinet and poured a glass of whiskey. Leona and Brielle are coming.

Want a drink?

Gerald walked over. Leona always likes Josie. If you and Aveline really get divorced, she’ll

definitely push you to marry Josie.

Xavier took a sip of whiskey, then walked silently to the floortoceiling window to look out at

the view

Gerald pulled out his phone. I’ll call Josie over.

He dialed the number and spoke into the receiver, JosieYeah? Where’s your darling? He’s in the presidential suite on the 18th floor, Room 8. Hurry over. You’ll love this place.

A few minutes later, the doorbell rang, Gerald smiled and looked at Xavier. She’s here already You gonna open the door, or me?

Xavier, still standing by the floortoceiling window, glanced back at him briefly before turning his gaze back outside.

Guess you’re still playing the cool guyact,Gerald joked. Fine, I’ll do it.

He walked over and opened the door.

Josephine stood outside. When she saw Gerald, she asked right away, Where’s my darling?

Gerald pouted and nodded toward the room, signaling that Xavier was inside.

Josephine grabbed his arm with one hand, lowering her voice. Aveline’s here. Did you run into her?

Gerald’s face darkened. We met her in the lobby. She was unfriendly to me, and even with Xavier, she still put on airs. Real rude.

A flicker of calculation crossed Josephine’s eyes. And Xavier, what about him?

Gerald said, Of course, he’s annoyed. He’s in there drinking now. Hurry in and comfort him. He’ll cheer up as soon as he sees you.

Josephine shot Gerald a glare, pretending to be annoyed at his teasing, then walked into the suite with a bright smile.

Lunch was a lavish spread. After the meal, Vivian left first. The two architects exchanged contact information with Aveline and the others before heading back to the construction site.

Aveline, Jasmine, and Julian went upstairs, and the three gathered in Julian’s room to analyze the site and discuss design concepts and themes.

One of Julian’s college classmates, now a designer on the Mount Ardwood Resort project team. learned that Julian was here and invited him out for dinner.

Julian asked Aveline and Jasmine if they wanted to join, but neither felt like drinking, so they declined.

After Julian left, Jasmine scrolled through Mount Ardwood travel guides on her phone. Everyone online says the night market here has tons of good food, and it opens at six. Wanna go?

Aveline hadn’t relaxed in ages. Thinking a walk outside would do her good, she nodded in agreement.

The two got ready and headed out.

As soon as they stepped out of the elevator, Aveline heard a familiar child’s voice calling her. Aveline! It’s Aveline!

She turned toward the sound and spotted Leona with her son, along with Brielle and her daughter, walking toward the elevator.
