But they hadn’t interacted with Sebastian before, so they didn’t dare to come over and say hello.
Samantha chatted with Sebastian for a few moments, glancing at Aveline a few times, likely guessing who she was.
Aveline remained composed, just lowering her head to eat her rice congee, but she knew that as a media person, the editor was definitely speculating about the relationship between the woman having breakfast alone with Sebastian and
him.
Sebastian naturally knew this too, so he made a point of telling Samantha, “This is the architect for our project.”
The implication was, don’t make wild guesses and don’t print false stories.
Samantha understood, smiling and saying, “I see.”
Then he gave Aveline a nod and left.
Sebastian said to Aveline, “I was interviewed by the Financial Weekly before. He’s the new editor–in–chief, so I didn’t recognize him at first.”
Aveline nodded.
Sebastian, not wanting her to worry, said, “Relax, he won’t publish anything reckless.”
Aveline smiled. “He probably wouldn’t dare to cross you.”
Sebastian saw she was teasing him, so he just smiled and shook his head helplessly.
When Sam Young got back to his table, which was full of media friends, including some from tabloid journalism, they started asking him,
“Who’s that woman with Sebastian?
His girlfriend?
She’s gorgeous.”
Sebastian was single, and he was having breakfast with a young, beautiful woman, so it wasn’t surprising that the me- dia people thought that.
Sam Young told them, “Mr. Harmon said she’s the project’s architect. Don’t write anything crazy. You don’t want to get on Mr. Harmon’s bad side.”
Even if she really was the architect for the Crestmark project, the seasoned reporters could tell things weren’t that sim- ple.

Chapter 128
# 288 (Vouchers
A young, handsome, single chairman and a young, beautiful architect having breakfast together at a seaside seafood restaurant on a weekend–there had to be something going on.
So a few reporters secretly took pictures of Aveline and Sebastian, just in case they might be useful later.
One gossip outlet posted on their Social Feed, but the photo only showed the back of Sebastian’s head, and Aveline’s face was blurred out, with the caption,
[Crestmark’s Chairman in a Suspected Romance.]
Aveline and Sebastian had no idea they were being photographed; they ate and talked about the project, losing track of time.
Samantha and the others had already left, but they said goodbye to Sebastian before they went.
Aveline’s phone rang in her purse. She took it out and saw it was a call from Xavier.
She rejected the call and put the phone back in her purse.
Sebastian noticed her cold expression, as if the caller was unwelcome. He lowered his gaze and picked up his teacup to take a sip.
After a sip of tea, Sebastian said, “We should get going.”
Aveline nodded and agreed.
Sebastian paid the bill. Aveline knew she couldn’t beat him to it, and she didn’t‘ want to make him lose face in the
restaurant.
Outside the restaurant, Sebastian said, “Do you have plans tonight? We could ask Fiona to join us for dinner.”
Aveline replied, “Sorry, I have a business dinner tonight. How about I treat you and Fiona to dinner tomorrow night?”
Sebastian said regretfully, “I’m heading back to Kralville tomorrow afternoon. I have an important meeting the morn- ing after.”
Aveline smiled, “Just let me know the next time you’re in Entora, and we’ll set something up.”
Sebastian smiled, nodded, and said he definitely would.
Then they both got into their own cars and went their separate ways.
Aveline’s phone buzzed with a text notification in her purse. She ignored it, guessing that since she didn’t answer Xavier’s call, he had probably sent a message.
When she got back to the Parkview Estates villa, Xavier and Lauren were gone. Helena said they left right after breakfast.
