Chapter 191
“Even though you’re not feeling dizzy anymore, I’d recommend playing it safe and staying for another two days.”
Aveline shook her head. “I wasn’t dizzy at all yesterday.
And I haven’t been since I woke up this morning. I think I’m fine now.
If I feel the slightest bit unwell, I’ll come right back to the hospital.”
Seeing her insistence, the doctor had no choice but to agree to her discharge.
Helena carried Aveline’s bags out of the hospital, glanced at her, and asked cautiously, “Ma’am, should we tell Mr. Sutton?”
Aveline didn’t answer.
Helena figured she must have already told him.
Helena had been driving herself to deliver meals the past few days, so Aveline took her car back to the hotel.
In the parking lot, they ran into Josephine, Courtney, and Jacob. They were carrying a bunch of bags and looked like they had just been discharged too.
Aveline looked cold and walked toward Helena’s BMW.
Josephine and Courtney exchanged a look. Courtney pinched Jacob and shot him a dark glare.
Jacob quickly said, “Don’t be mad. I’ll get that ungrateful daughter over here to apologize to you right now.”
Then he yelled at Aveline, “Aveline, get over here for me, your daddy.”
Aveline ignored Jacob and got in the car.
Seeing this, Courtney stomped her foot and whined, “Honey.”
Jacob got scared and quickly touched her belly, “Don’t stomp, don’t stomp. It’ll be bad if you hurt our son.”
“You wait here. I’ll go drag that ungrateful daughter over to apologize to you.”
After saying that, Jacob ran aggressively towards the black BMW.
“Aveline, get over here.”
Helena had just gotten into the driver’s seat. Hearing Jacob’s shouting, she quickly asked Aveline in the back seat,
“Ma’am…”
Aveline said coldly, “Close the door. Drive. Ignore him.”

Just as she started the car, Jacob had already run to the car door, banging on the body and shouting for Aveline to
come out.
Aveline instructed Helena, “Ignore him. Drive.”
“But Ma’am, something bad could happen.”
Aveline scoffed, “The moment you move the car, he’ll jump away. He’s terrified of dying.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll take responsibility if anything happens.
Or should I drive?”
Of course, Helena wanted Aveline to drive and not take the risk, but she didn’t dare actually let her, so she could only drive forward slowly.
Sure enough, when Jacob saw the car moving anyway, he got scared, quickly let go, and ran off.
Once he stopped, Jacob pointed at the car and yelled angrily, “Are you trying to murder your own father?”
Inside the car, a cold smile touched Aveline’s lips.
One person said she was murdering her husband, another said she was murdering her father. Did they think she was ignorant of the law?
They didn’t have to say such childish things just to run their mouths.
Helena sighed in relief and chuckled, “Ma’am, you really know your father.”
Aveline:
…
She didn’t actually know Jacob very well, but she knew the man was heartless and ruthless, and definitely afraid of dying.
Jacob returned to Courtney and Josephine, the mother–daughter pair, his face full of anger, and said hatefully:
