Chapter 236

Xavier let out a soft laugh. “Weren’t you in a hurry?
Now that the agreement is ready, you’re not in a hurry to sign it?”
Aveline turned back, her face cold. “Now?
Where is the agreement? Let’s see it.”
Xavier gave a half–smile. “Wait for me to finish breakfast, come with me to the. Gerald will deliver it this morning.”
Aveline sneered, “Give it to my lawyer. If I don’t see the agreement by tomorrow, I’ll see you in court.”
With that, she walked out of the dining room.
Xavier’s dark eyes watched deeply until Aveline’s back had completely disappeared. He took out his phone and texted Gerald,
[Give the agreement to Fiona.]
A moment later, Gerald replied, [Damn it, are you messing with me? I’m already out the door.]
Xavier ignored him, put his phone down, and continued eating his breakfast.
He asked in a low voice, “Have you noticed if Ma’am has gotten her period?”
Helena froze.
Was Sir asking her?
But why would he ask that?
“Why aren’t you saying anything?”
Xavier turned to glance at her.
Helena quickly replied to him, “Oh, yes, sir. Let me think… No, ma’am hasn’t had her period at home these past two days.”
She hadn’t seen any discarded sanitary pads when she was cleaning.
Xavier frowned slightly upon hearing this.

Chapter 236
“Aveline, Xavier doesn’t really want a divorce, does he?”
Aveline’s expression tensed. “What do you mean?”
“Gerald just gave me an agreement. It’s not a divorce agreement, it’s an asset distribution agreement.”
Hearing this, Aveline immediately flared up. “Then you go to court and file for divorce.”
Fiona replied, “Whoa, calm down. I think you need to look at this agreement. We should discuss it.”
“Discuss what? There’s nothing to discuss. I am getting this divorce.”
Fiona replied to Aveline, “If you’re determined to get a divorce, then of course you should. But you also need to fight for the best possible outcome for yourself.”
“Don’t rush into anything. I’m heading to Mount Ardwood now. Take a look at the agreement, and we’ll talk.”
“I’ve already prepared the lawsuit. We can go to court anytime.”
Aveline wondered what kind of agreement Xavier had come up with.
“Alright, if you have time, come over. If not, just send it to me.”
“I think I should come in person. The police should have a decision today about your case against Eileen.”
“I have some work to finish up. I’ll probably get there around noon, and we can have lunch together.”
Aveline drove to Mount Ardwood, went back to the hotel to drop off her luggage first, and then headed to the con- struction site.
Jasmine and Julian had just arrived too. The three of them gathered and chatted about how their weekend was before getting to work.
At noon, they returned to the Beltran Hotel. Fiona and her assistant, Katie, had also arrived, and they all went to lunch together.
With Jasmine and Julian there, Fiona didn’t feel it was appropriate to discuss the agreement with Aveline, so she de- cided to talk about it back in the room after the meal.
Aveline was in the middle of her meal when she received a text from Xavier: [Have you seen the agreement?]
Aveline put down her phone without replying.
Jasmine asked Fiona, “You’re here for Aveline’s case against Eileen, right?
