Chapter 237
After the meal, the group went upstairs. Jasmine and Julian returned to their respective rooms, while Fiona and Katie went into Aveline’s room.
Aveline put down her purse and took off her coat, but Fiona, without even removing her own coat, quickly pulled the agreement out of her bag,
“Take a look. I was thinking on the way here, there’s no way Xavier would be this generous. Rupert must have put a lot of pressure on him, so he had no other choice.”
Aveline took the agreement and read it, her brow furrowing slightly.
In addition to the previous two billion in cash and the two villas at Parkview Estates and Kralville, the equity in three of Xavier’s privately owned companies was increased from thirty to fifty percent.
The agreement also added a thirty–five percent stake in the Mount Ardwood Theme Park, as well as all the real estate properties under Xavier’s name.
All the properties under his name?
Aveline looked at Fiona. “All of Xavier’s properties worldwide?”
Fiona nodded seriously. “That’s right.
I don’t know how many properties Xavier has around the world, but when Gerald gave me the agreement, he looked pretty upset. He said you were greedy and asked if you’d already investigated how many properties Xavier owns.”
Aveline scoffed, “I have no idea how many properties he has.”
But she guessed it must be a huge number, or Gerald wouldn’t have called her greedy.
Fiona took three bottles of water from the fridge. She gave one to Katie, one to Aveline, and opened one for herself, taking a few sips of the cool water to soothe her throat.
Then she said, “I can look up the exact number, or at least get a rough idea.”
“From what Gerald said, Xavier travels a lot for work, so he’s bought properties in many countries. They’re all man- sions worth at least a hundred million, some even several hundred million, or even one or two billion.”
“Also, the office buildings for some of Xavier’s private companies are in his name, so if you two divorce and split the assets, those office buildings will be yours too.”
“Aveline, if you sign this agreement and then divorce Xavier, you’ll be a billionaire. Plus, you’ll get annual dividends from Xavier’s three very profitable companies and the Mount Ardwood theme park.”

Katie gasped, “Wow, Aveline, you’ve hit the jackpot.”

Aveline sat on the edge of the bed, thought for a moment, and said calmly, “Xavier has only been in charge of the for a few years. He couldn’t have bought so many properties. Some must have been given to him by his dad and grand-
pa,”
Fiona laughed. “Who cares where they came from? They’re all yours now anyway.”
Aveline gave a faint smile. “What I mean is, this must be Rupert’s idea, to stop me from getting a divorce.”
Fiona nodded in understanding. “Yeah, that must be it. Xavier would never be that generous.”
Then she looked at Aveline. “Keith Beltran really likes you. He really doesn’t want you to divorce Xavier.”
Aveline let out a low laugh. “What would I do with so many properties and all that money? I earn enough to support myself.”
“Fiona, I have to get a divorce.”
Fiona quickly moved closer to her. “That’s why I said I came to discuss this with you.”
