She glanced at the bed, which could barely fit two adults, then at the floor.
Fine. If he wanted to sleep here, he could sleep on the floor.
Aveline put down her phone, went to the closet, took out two blankets, and tossed them on the floor.
Then she got into bed, lay down, and pulled the covers over herself.
Of course, she couldn’t sleep at all, feeling annoyed as she listened to the sound of running water from the bathroom.
The water stopped, and then she suddenly remembered that only her toothbrush and cup were in the bathroom. She couldn’t help but curse again,
“Damn it.”
Whatever, he was using hers, not the other way around.
Aveline could only comfort herself this way.
Xavier walked out of the bathroom in his bathrobe, saw the two blankets on the floor, and looked towards Aveline. who was lying motionless on the bed with her eyes closed.
Aveline pretended he was thin air, but when he made no move, she still found it strange.
After a moment, she heard Xavier let out a soft chuckle.
But he didn’t say anything.
Feeling Xavier walk to the side of the bed, Aveline said with her eyes closed, “If you dare get on this bed, I’ll kick you off.”
Xavier placed his hands on the bed, leaning over Aveline.
Aveline’s eyes flew open as the mixed scent of shower gel and his familiar male presence washed over her.
She twitched her hand, wanting to push Xavier away, but ultimately decided against it.
She stared coldly at his approaching face, his straight nose, and his dark, deep eyes, and said in a cold voice.
“Don’t make me hit you.”
Xavier smiled, “There’s no broom here.”
“Xavier, have you ever been slapped by a woman? Want to find out what it feels like?”
A smile played on Xavier’s lips. “A broom would have a better chance of hitting me.

Aveline said coldly. “Get off.”
“I’m not on it yet.
Aveline didn’t say a word, her eyes narrowed and she tensed up. If Xavier dared to make any move, she would really slap him.
Xavier watched her subtle expression, “Like a cat ready to stick its claws out and scratch.
“Good night.”
With that, he stood up.
Then he laid out the bedding and lay down on the floor.
Aveline felt an oppressive weight lift, and she sighed in relief.
So, the guy was afraid of the embarrassment of being slapped by a woman.
He doesn’t hit women, after all. If he fought back, she would have grounds to call the police.
Aveline knew that since Xavier had gone to sleep on the floor, he wouldn’t be coming back to the bed.
She closed her eyes, and after a while, drowsiness washed over her.
Aveline heard what sounded like Xavier moving, but her eyelids were too heavy, and she couldn’t be bothered with him.
He was probably just turning over, or getting up to do something.
Forget him. Sleep, sleep.
But then, Xavier climbed into the bed.
Aveline was startled and propped herself up to get out, but Xavier rolled over and pushed her back down with one hand.
“The floor is impossible to sleep on. Stop making a fuss and let me sleep in the bed.”
Aveline kicked at him. “Get off.”
Xavier swung his leg over to pin both of hers. “Can you just stop struggling?”
“The floor is way too hard to sleep on. If I sleep there for one night, I won’t be able to get up tomorrow.”
“Just go to sleep. It’s only for one night. It’s not like we haven’t slept together before.”
Aveline was so sleepy she didn’t want to say a single word, so she just twisted her body, trying to break free from
