Xavier was drinking a glass of whiskey. Hearing this, his dark eyes narrowed as he looked at Amy, “Barry?”

Barry used to be his father’s driver. After his father died, his mother wanted Barry to drive for him, but he refused and chose Amy.

He felt he got along better with Amy, since she often drove him around.

The Patriarch also felt Amy was more suitable, since she was younger than Barry and could work for Xavier for many

Leona later took Barry on, saying he’d be driving her son to and from school.

Xavier slammed his glass down on the liquor cabinet and said coldly, “So Leona ordered Barry to bring Bryan back to the country?”

“That crazy woman. She never listens to a word I say.”

“Call Bryan. Ask him where he is.”

With that, Xavier picked up his glass, walked to the sofa with a grim face, sat down, and drank.

Amy made the call, then looked at him. “Bryan isn’t picking up.”

“Call Barry.”

Amy did as she was told and dialed Barry’s number.

Barry answered. Amy said to Xavier, “Mr. Beltran, Barry picked up.”

Xavier held out his hand, gesturing for her to give him the phone.

Amy said to Barry, “Mr. Beltran wants to talk to you.”

Taking the phone, Xavier asked coldly, “Did Leona tell you to go abroad and bring Bryan back?”

Barry replied, “Yes, Mr. Beltran.”

“Where is he?”

Barry didn’t answer.

Xavier’s voice grew colder. “I asked you, where is Bryan?”

Barry sighed and replied, “Mr. Beltran, I’m just following the Heiress’s orders. So, I hope you can understand.” Xavier let out a low laugh. “That’s right. You’re Leona’s man. You only listen to her.”

“Fine, I understand. I’ll get him from her directly.”

With that, he tossed the phone onto the coffee table, then picked up his own phone to call Leona.

Leona didn’t answer the call.

Xavier scoffed coldly, “Got the guts to bring him here, but not the guts to answer my call.”

He sent a text, [Where is Bryan?]

[Are you going to return him yourself, or should I come find you?]

Leona didn’t reply.

Xavier tossed his phone onto the sofa, his expression cold as he ordered Amy, “Find him. See where she’s hidden him.”

“Probably in one of her villas.”

Amy said yes and made a call to start the search.

A thought suddenly struck Xavier, and he muttered, “She probably hid him in her villa in the suburbs.”

He stood up to change his clothes. “We’re heading back to the city now.”

Amy headed out to get the car ready while still on the phone.

After changing his clothes, Xavier left his room, walked to Aveline’s door, and rang the doorbell.

Aveline had just gotten out of the shower and was applying skincare products when she heard the doorbell and glanced at the door.

A moment later, the doorbell rang again.

She walked over to look through the peephole. Xavier was standing outside.

Aveline turned and walked away coldly, not planning to answer.

Just then, Xavier spoke from outside, “Aveline, something’s happened. Open the door, we need to talk.”

Aveline stopped and stared at the door.

Xavier said, “Aveline, something really has happened. If you don’t open up, I’ll just have the manager come open it.”

With a cold expression, Aveline walked over, opened the door, and glared at Xavier,

“Mr. Beltran, don’t you think harassing the project’s lead architect like this is going too far?”
