Xavier cursed “Damn it” in his head, but his face didn’t show it. He said calmly, “I’m here to discuss something with Gerald. Don’t jump to conclusions.”
Fiona scoffed. “I never jump to conclusions. My conclusions are always very rational and logical.”
Xavier knew that no matter what he said, Fiona wouldn’t take him seriously. He ignored her and opened the door to the private dining room.
When Josephine saw him, she immediately stood up and greeted him with a huge smile. “Xav, you’re here.”
Xavier gave her a cold glance, said nothing, and walked straight past her to sit on the single armchair.
Josephine’s heart tightened, and her smile froze. It seemed things weren’t as she’d imagined; Xavier was still very cold towards her.
In the dimly lit room, his dark eyes even seemed to hold a hint of disgust.
But Josephine secretly shook her head, thinking, how could that be? Even if Xavier had no feelings for her, she was his savior. He couldn’t possibly feel disgusted by her.
She followed Xavier and sat down on the long sofa, trying to sit as close to him as possible.
Gerald looked at Xavier. “What’s with the long face? You look like you’re here to collect a debt.”
As he spoke, he picked up the wine bottle to pour Xavier a glass.
Xavier said flatly, “Don’t bother. I’m not drinking.”
Gerald was confused. “You come here and don’t drink? Then what are you having?”
Josephine asked with concern, “Xav, are you not feeling well?
Do you
have a cold?
If you have a cold, you shouldn’t drink. Have some orange juice for the vitamin C.”
Xavier stared at her with his cold, dark eyes, not saying a word.

Chapter 531
Josephine started to panic a little, her nerves tensing up. She had a very bad feeling.
But she stood up. “I’ll go get a waiter to bring some orange juice.”
Gerald said, “Just press the call button.
Xavier, you really want orange juice?”
As he spoke, he had already pressed the button.
Xavier remained cold and silent, which confused Josephine and Gerald.
A waiter came in, and Xavier asked him to bring a glass of boiled water.

Hearing this, Josephine and Gerald thought Xavier must have a cold and was in a bad mood because of it.
As for Fiona, just as Xavier had thought, she didn’t take his words seriously at all, thinking he was just making things up.
So, she specifically found a waiter and asked who else was in that private dining room besides Xavier and Gerald.
The waiter told her Ms. Sutton was also there. Fiona sneered at the news, sat down at the bar, and took out her phone to text Aveline.
【Damn it, I thought Xavier would have settled down a bit since you’re suing for divorce, but I guess he couldn’t stand being alone and came to the bar tonight.】
【I don’t think I need to tell you who he’s here to see.】
Aveline couldn’t go out for a walk after dinner, so she was sitting in her room watching TV.
When she saw the message, the words “couldn’t stand being alone” were jarring.
A sneer touched her lips. Xavier had been faking it with her all along. Since he liked Josephine so much, why not just divorce her and let her go?
She replied to Fiona, 【It doesn’t matter anymore.】
Fiona had originally just come to say hello to a client and was about to leave, but now she decided to stay.
She ordered a drink from the bartender and planned to wait at the bar to see if she could catch Xavier and Josephine walking out arm in arm.
