Xavier read the message and guessed Aveline was probably going back to Garden Estate. After all, if she went to Parkview Estates, she would have to see him, and she wouldn’t be able to get rid of him.
Xavier thought for a moment, then called Brielle and asked her to see if Valentina wanted to go to Aveline’s maternal grandparents‘ house. Of course, Valentina was happy to, and was even excited to see her aunt.
So Xavier told Brielle, “It was Collin’s birthday a few days ago. Prepare a gift from Valentina, or have her draw a picture. It can be a belated present.”
After that, Xavier texted Mason directly: [Your aunt is coming back today. Valentina and I are going to her maternal grandparents‘ house for dinner. Do you want to come?]
Mason quickly replied: [Yes, I want to see Aunt too.]
Xavier: [Okay, your uncle will pick up Valentina, then come to your house to get you.]
[It was your aunt’s grandfather’s birthday a few days ago. Since you’re going today, you definitely need to prepare a gift. A drawing would be fine too.]
Mason: [Uncle, my drawings aren’t very good.]
Xavier: [Then have your mom prepare a gift for you.]
After that, he calculated when Aveline would get back to the city and went to pick up Valentina first.
As soon as Valentina saw him, she shouted, “Uncle, I drew a picture for Collin. Do you think it’s good?”
Xavier took it and saw it was a crane. For a child Valentina’s
age, it was drawn very well.
He patted her head, “It’s beautiful. Valentina, you’re just as talented at drawing as your pretty aunt.”
Brielle laughed, “I’d be happy if she had half of her aunt’s talent.”
“These are the traditional health tonics I prepared for Aveline’s maternal grandparents. Take them with you.”

Chapter 542
Navier took them and got in the car with Valentina.
After that, he went to Leona’s house to pick up Mason
Mason opened the door, his face on the verge of tears, and called out in a choked voice. “Uncle
Xavier frowned slightly. “What’s wrong?”
“Mom won’t prepare a gift for me. What do I do?”
Just then, Leona’s voice came from inside the house, “I’m not letting you go, so why prepare a gift?”
Mason shouted towards the inside of the house, “I want to go! I’m going! Dad said I could go, I called and asked him!”
Leona told him. “Then have your dad prepare a gift for you.”
Xavier didn’t expect Leona to be so unreasonable, even making things difficult for her own son. He said calmly, “Mason, didn’t I tell you a drawing would be fine? Look, Valentina drew one.
Valentina quickly said, “Mason, look, I drew a crane for Howard Baldwin.”
Mason said irritably, “My drawings are ugly. I can’t draw.”
Xavier said calmly, “Let’s go. I’ll take you out to buy a gift.”
When Mason heard that, his eyes lit up, thinking his uncle was the one who really doted on him.
He immediately went to put on his shoes to leave.
Xavier said, “Go tell your mom.
”
Mason reluctantly went back inside, “Mom, I’m leaving with my uncle.”
Leona was sitting in the living room with a stony expression, “You might as well go live at your uncle’s house and never come back.”
Mason’s eyes glinted, “If my uncle is willing, then I am too.”
Leona’s eyes widened, “You–what did you say?”
Mason quickly ran outside, “Bye, Mom.”
“You little brat! Don’t you ever come back!”
