Urging Him to Get a Divorce novel Chapter 57

Chapter 57

Aveline thought his expression was infuriatingly smug. She said in a cold voice, Also, Dylan isn’t my cousin, he’s Josephine’s cousin. Don’t get it wrong.

Hearing this, Xavier frowned slightly.

It seemed Sebastian had told Fiona about it, and then Fiona had told her.

At the time, he thought Sebastian and Aveline were closer, so he said it casually without thinking much about it.

Looking at Aveline’s icy face, he figured explaining would be useless, so he didn’t say anything and left with Valenti-

After the door closed, Aveline went back to the sofa, picked up her phone, opened WhatsApp, tapped on the Beltran Family Group Chat, and without even looking at what Lauren and Leona had said about her, immediately left the chat

group.

She should have left the group a long time ago, the day she moved out of Winslow Heights, but she forgot.

She figured that since she hadn’t left the group, Lauren and Leona must have thought she was just kidding about the divorce and didn’t really mean it.

That’s why Lauren put Valentina up to saying those things to her.

Lauren wanted her to go back and take care of Xavier, but he definitely didn’t; he was living on the same floor as Josephine now with nothing in their way, so how could he possibly let her come back and be a nuisance?

After getting downstairs and into the car, Xavier took out his phone, planning to leave a message in the Family Group Chat, but he saw that Aveline had left the group.

Aveline’s action caused a stir in the chat group. Lauren and Leona were even angrier, and they had tagged him.

Xavier was no longer in the mood to leave a message and put his phone in his pocket.

She’s getting so temperamental.

Valentina, beside him, turned to look at him. Who are you talking about, Uncle? Me?

Xavier patted her head. Not you. I’m talking about your aunt.

Valentina protested, Auntie is very nice and gentle. Why are you saying bad things about her, Uncle?

Xavier felt it was hard to explain things clearly to a fiveyearold, so he smiled and said, Okay, Uncle gets it. I won’t say bad things about your aunt anymore.

Just then, his phone rang in his pocket. He guessed it was probably Lauren calling. If he didn’t answer, she would def-

initely keep calling and wouldn’t give up unless he turned off his phone.

So he took out his phone and answered, Mom, if you’re asking why Aveline left the group, I don’t know. She’s prob- ably angry that you guys were criticizing her in the chat.

Lauren’s tone was displeased. We’ve criticized her in the group before, so why didn’t she leave then? It’s because she has the marriage certificate now, so she’s gotten bold.

Xavier couldn’t be bothered to argue and just gave a faint mm.

Lauren was satisfied that Xavier didn’t defend Aveline and continued, Your grandfather is not happy. He said he’s coming back tomorrow or the day after. You tell Aveline to move back in immediately and stop putting on her Mrs.

then.Beltran airs. Otherwise, you’ll just end up divorced, and it’ll be too late for her to cry

After saying that, Lauren hung up.

With a neutral expression, Xavier put his phone back in his pocket, deciding to talk to Aveline after the Patriarch re- turned.

The next morning, Xavier dropped Valentina off at kindergarten and then went to the office. As soon as he arrived, he said to Claude:

How did the talk between Simon and Bernard go yesterday?
