“I know.”
Josie felt a deep resentment and hatred, but she could only watch from a distance, not daring to get close to Aveline and the others.
Unexpectedly, after security, when she entered the VIP lounge, Aveline, Xavier, and Fiona saw
her.
Josie shot them a cold glare, found a seat far away from them, and sat down to wait for boarding.
Fiona let out a chuckle. “Enemies really do have a way of crossing paths.”
Aveline said calmly, “Ignore her, so she doesn’t have another fit.”
Fiona saw Xavier just looking at Aveline without saying anything, so she said with a smile, “Mr. Beltran, you’re not exactly welcome with us either. Why don’t you go keep the great Director Sutton company?”
Xavier shot her a cold glance. “Fiona, you spare no effort in trying to drive a wedge between my wife and me. What are you playing at?”
Fiona snorted. “Am I the one driving a wedge, or is this the mess you made yourself?”
Xavier felt a tightness in his chest, unable to speak.
Aveline was always hanging out with Fiona, and Fiona was always feeding her these ideas. He’d never get Aveline to forgive him in this lifetime.
He picked up the teapot, refilled Aveline’s tea, and said, “Honey, don’t always listen to Fiona. She’s barely dated, let alone been married. She doesn’t understand anything about relationships between men and women, and she definitely doesn’t know how to maintain a marriage.”
“She has no idea how much I love you.”
“If you listen to her, you’ll only make mistakes.”
Aveline looked coldly at Xavier, “So you’re saying our problems are my fault?”
Xavier choked on his words and quickly said, “How could you interpret it that way?”

Chapter 595
Fiona scoffed, “Xavier, that’s exactly what you meant.
And you have the nerve to bring up that I’ve never dated or been married.”
“I have dated before.
And what’s so great about being married? Your wife is about to dump you anyway.”

“So, you know how to maintain a marriage? So well that your wife is suing you for divorce in court?”
As she spoke, Fiona looked at Xavier with a mocking smile.
Xavier said coldly, “Fiona, encouraging people to divorce just to earn your lawyer’s fee is very unethical, you know that?”
“Hmph, if you want to lie to yourself, be my guest.”
After saying that, Fiona looked away, not planning to bother with Xavier anymore.
Xavier looked over at Aveline and saw her indifferent attitude. He poured her some tea, and she picked up the cup and took a big gulp, then pulled a book out of her bag and started reading.
He glanced at the book. It was about architectural design, not some light reading, so he kept quiet to avoid disturbing her.
Josephine was sitting far away, but she couldn’t help but watch Aveline and Xavier. No matter how much she told herself to ignore them, her heart wouldn’t listen, and her eyes would drift over to them.
She saw Fiona looking at her phone, Aveline reading a book, and Xavier… he was looking at Aveline.
She didn’t know if she could be sure that what Xavier had told her was the truth–that he loved Aveline.
On the surface, it seemed like he loved Aveline.
But Josephine hoped that Xavier was just saying that to get rid of her.
Now, because she was watching him in this VIP lounge, he was deliberately staring at Aveline.
Josephine clenched her fists, hoping her dad would release that statement soon.
