Chapter 60
Sebastian smiled and said, “You’re welcome. It’s an honor for Crestmark to have an excellent architect like the landscape for our resort. I’m already looking forward to the day it’s completed.”
As he spoke, he glanced at Xavier.

Xavier’s expression was indifferent. Noticing the glance, he shifted his gaze from Aveline’s face to him, but said noth- ing.
Behind Xavier, Josephine’s eyes darkened for a moment, but she quickly composed herself, walked out, and stood be- side Xavier.
Because she was standing so close, at first glance she looked like Xavier’s intimate partner.
After all, a female colleague or employee would never stand that close to her boss.
Neither would a regular friend, of course.
Then Josephine stared intently at Aveline, as if afraid Aveline wouldn’t notice what she was doing.
Aveline noticed, of course, but she didn’t look directly at her, ignoring her with a calm expression.
She said to Sebastian, “I’ll work hard. I won’t disappoint you, Mr. Harmon.
I won’t disturb you any longer. I’ll be going now.”
After she spoke, she was about to turn and leave, but Sebastian said, “It’s almost dinnertime. Mr. Beltran and I are about to get dinner, you should join us.”
Aveline looked at Sebastian and saw his gentle, sincere smile.
At the same time, she saw that while Xavier’s expression was calm, as if he didn’t care that Sebastian had invited her, the stare from Josephine beside him had turned sharp, as if she was afraid Aveline would accept.
Aveline nodded. “Okay.”
Sebastian seemed happy that she agreed. His smile widened as he looked at Xavier, “You don’t mind, do you, Mr. Beltran?”
Xavier said flatly, “Why would I? It’s not like she’s a stranger.”
Seeing that Sebastian hadn’t asked her, Josephine clenched her fist, then said with a smile, “You’re funny, Mr. Har- mon. Of course we’d want to have dinner with my sister. As long as she doesn’t mind us, we’d be delighted.”
Josephine repeated “we, we” a few times. Aveline knew she was doing it just to provoke her, so she kept a calm ex- pression and said nothing.

Jessica, however, was quite surprised, looking back and forth between Aveline and Josephine, having just realized they were sisters.
“Oh, so you’re sisters.”
Josephine smiled, “Yes, full sisters.”
She was more than happy to tell outsiders that she and Aveline were sisters, but she definitely wasn’t happy to say that Aveline and Xavier were married.
Because she knew Xavier had never made his relationship with Aveline public, so to everyone else, it looked like she and Xavier were the intimate pair.
Aveline said coolly, “We’re not close. She’s the daughter my dad had from an affair.”
Josephine’s smile instantly froze.
Jessica was stunned.
Xavier and Sebastian looked over at Aveline.
Xavier’s expression was neutral, but his gaze sharpened, making it impossible to read his thoughts, though he was probably annoyed.
Sebastian was surprised by how casually Aveline mentioned her father’s affair, and he smiled helplessly.
Since it was his turf, Sebastian could only try to ease the tension, saying, “Alright, let’s go. Aveline, did you drive? Why don’t you ride with me?”
As he spoke, he gestured for Xavier to head towards the elevator.
Aveline and Sebastian walked side by side, and she replied to him, “I drove.”
