When She Turns Her Back (Teresa and Charles) novel Chapter 110

Chapter 110

Teresa always knew Troy was a flirt, but she never imagined he could be this shameless. For a moment, she didn’t know what to say.

Remembering Hector’s dirty clothes still stuffed in her bag, Teresa quickly changed the subject. Troy, I’m going to do some laundry. You should leave soon.

When Troy heard she was going to do laundry, his smile faded. What exactly are you washing?

Teresa frowned. That’s none of your business. With that, she went over to the sofa to pick up Hector’s dirty clothes.

Just as she bent down, Troy appeared in front of her, snatching the clothes from her hands. Your hands aren’t meant for washing a jerk’s dirty laundry.

He threw the clothes on the floor, his face cold. He actually looked pissed off.

Teresa shot him an annoyed look. You

Before she could finish, Troy cut her off, possessively declaring, Teresa, from now on, Hector better keep his hands off your waist. You belong to me.

Teresa stared at Troy, unsure if he was being sincere or just playing around. She felt a bit thrown off. After a moment, she said, Troy, I’ve been married before. I have a child.”

Maybe she was just imagining things, but she didn’t want Troy to have any other ideas about her. Even if he never thought that way, she still felt she had to make it clear.

Troy looked at her, completely unfazed, and shrugged. So? What’s the big deal?

Teresa tried to avoid his gaze. She couldn’t figure him out, couldn’t read him at all. She just said, I’m not some naive girl, so don’t joke around with me.

Troy had been with so many women. Teresa didn’t think he’d be interested in someone like her.

She bent down to pick up Hector’s clothes and was about to head to the bathroom, but as she passed Troy, he suddenly grabbed her arm. Teresa, everything I’ve said to youI was never joking. Not once.

He didn’t call her babyor use any flirty nicknames this time. Instead, he said her name, like he was making it official.

Teresa felt herself waver for a moment, her mind going blank. Still, she couldn’t bring herself to trust him. Whether he was telling the truth or not, it didn’t really change anything for her.

Even if it was true, she wouldn’t end up with him. And if he was just playing around, it wouldn’t affect her either.

After a moment, Teresa finally said, Troy, if you don’t leave, I’m seriously going to call for help.

Troy let go of her arm. I’ll head out after you fall asleep.

Teresa turned to him, sounding annoyed. How am I supposed to sleep with you still hanging around?

Troy looked stunned for a second, then gave a reluctant nod. Alright, I’m leaving.

Teresa didn’t respond, just looked at him in silence.

Troy’s smile returned as he reached out and softly patted her head. Get some sleep. I’m leaving now.”

Teresa gave a quiet okay, not saying anything more.

Troy saw her calm demeanor and teased again. Next time I come into your room, I hope I’ll be walking in openly.

With that, he quickly snatched Hector’s dirty clothes from her hands, walked to the window, and saw a rope dangling outside. Without hesitation, he grabbed it and swung himself out the window.

In the blink of an eye, he was hoisted up by the rope and vanished from view.

Troy was gone, not forgetting to make off with Hector’s dirty laundry.

Chapter 110

Teresa walked over to the window, shut it, and yanked the curtains closed. It was a sleepless night.

The next day, Tuesday, Teresa had just finished her rounds and returned to her office when her phone rang. It was Charles. What’s up?she asked.

Charles said, Grandpa says he’s been missing Yolanda. He wants to see her.

Teresa casually replied, Just take Yolanda to see him. No need to keep me updated.

Charles hesitated, then said, What Grandpa really wants is for you to bring Yolanda back yourself.

Teresa paused for a moment before responding flatly, Got it.

Charles added, Once you’re done with work, come by Joyacre Villa to pick up Yolanda.

Teresa replied, Sure.

That evening, after work, Teresa drove straight to Joyacre Villa. When she arrived, Yolanda was already packed and ready to go, carrying a small backpack and two little bags.

Teresa didn’t bother asking what was inside.

Charles carried Yolanda’s bags to Teresa’s car and said, When you’re at Logan Manor, listen to your mom. Your greatgrandfather’s getting older, so you need to keep him company and play with him a little longer.”

Yolanda nodded sweetly. Okay, Dad.

After Charles shut the car door, Teresa rolled down her window and asked, Aren’t you coming with us?

I’ve got things to handle tonight. I’ll visit Grandpa next time,Charles said.

Teresa didn’t press him further. She rolled up the window and was about to drive off.

But just then, Charles called out again, Well, and if Grandpa asks, just tell him I’m out talking business with Jason and the others.”

Teresa nodded. Got it.
