“Can I call my friends, at least?” I blinked rapidly, forcing back the tears. “They must be worried sick about me, and not getting back to them for a whole week will be mean.”
He backed me, picking up another mug to make his tea or whatever it was he’d been making.
“I…I also need to email the company. So, I really need my phone.”
“You’ll get your phone, Rali.”
I stood in frustration for a long time until he was done making his tea and sipped from it as he turned around to face me.
Few minutes later, he fetched my bag from his car.
“Email the company first.”
I glared at him as I sat on the couch and drafted the email. Did I even need to wonder how he knew about the one week permit stuff? The man was a certified stalker with a PhD in intrusion and a minor in assholery.
Done with the email, I shifted to my call logs and messages. God, Veronica, Ruby, and even Mum had been blowing up my phone.
Please, don’t tell me Veronica told mum already.
My heart dropped when I found two missed calls and a text message from Steven.
STEVEN: Why aren’t you picking up, Rali? I found Elizabeth Chen.
My heart jumped into my throat. He found her!
“Call
your friends, Rali. Put it on speaker,” Void said from the opposite couch, his voice calm like he was asking me to pass the salt.
He hadn’t even glanced at my phone, like he already knew I wouldn’t dare use it against him.
I swallowed the lump in my throat, shut Steven’s inbox, and dialed Veronica.
She picked up faster than a heartbeat. “Jesus, Rali! You’re alive! What the hell happened?”
“Where are you!? Did the asshole get to you before Void?” That was Ruby.
I stared at Void. He smirked before drinking from his mug.
“I’m fine. I just… I’ll explain everything when I get home.” My fingers found my necklace, fumbling with it.
Veronica didn’t hesitate. “No. You do not sound fine. When are you coming home?”
“No. Where are you? We’ll come pick you up.” Ruby chipped in.
My eyes darted back to Void. That smile hadn’t budged.
I wondered what the girls‘ reaction would be when I told them The Torturer was my stalker. And worse, he disvirgined me yesterday.

Chapter 50
“I won’t be home for the week.” The words tasted bitter on my tongue.
“What!? Why?”
“What do you mean?”
I couldn’t answer. I didn’t know how.
“Hold on, who are you with right now? Did Void take you to his place to handle the issue?” Veronica asked.

Ruby spoke before I could. “No. I doubt Void would do that. And I don’t think that stalker is good enough to outsmart Void. Where are you, Rali?”
God, this was exhausting. I couldn’t tell them the truth over the phone.
“I’m… I’m fine. Okay? I’m safe here. You don’t have to worry about me.” I frowned as soon as the words were out of my
mouth.
What the hell did I mean I was safe? I glared up at Void, and as expected, the fucker’s smile was there.
I hurried to add, “Look, you know if I wasn’t fine, I wouldn’t have called. Just trust me and don’t get worried. Okay?”
“Rali-”
“I’m sorry, I have to go.”
I ended the call and sat there, my chest shrinking under invisible pressure.
“Good job, baby,” Void said, extending his hand to me.
I thought of Steven. I was so eager to hear what he had to say, but the thought of Void knowing anything about Elizabeth was a gamble I wasn’t ready to play. I couldn’t hand him another weapon.
Lips tight, I stood, walked over, and placed the phone in his waiting palm.
My fingers returned to my pendant when I sank back to the couch.
Now what?
Something else struck me. My nerves tangled into barbed wire the moment the thought fully landed.
“I…I need to get some um…” my eyes dropped to the floor. “Some pills.”
A month ago, if someone had told me I’d be asking the monster from the foster home for morning pills, I’d have punched
them in the face.
I was worried when I didn’t get a response and had to drag my eyes up to meet his. The bastard looked amused as he drank from his mug.
“D–Did you hear me?”
“I’m not deaf, Rali.”
Okay. He was getting the pills, then.
“So… when am I getting it?” I swallowed so hard I wondered if he heard.

He tapped the silver stud on his brow. “Is it necessary?”
What the fuck was he talking about?
“Of… Of course!”
My stomach suddenly tightened with dread at the idea that this monster might actually deprive me of this.
My brain started to spiral with worst–case scenarios: I’d be stuck with him for the rest of the week with no access to a pharmacy.
No. He couldn’t possibly do this to me. I’d rather be buried alive.
“Please! When am I getting it!?” My panic rose.
That was when he laughed. Fucking laughed like this was some sort of entertainment.
God, I hated him.
“You’ll get the pills, Rali. You might get a heart if you keep at this rate.”
I shot daggers with my eyes, but relief was already crawling up my spine.
I folded my arms and for a while, we just sat in silence.
I think I was the only one who found it bored. The monster was having fun simply watching me.
“What are we supposed to be doing for the week?” My voice dripped with malice.
He crossed one leg over the other. “A lot, Green. Things lovers are supposed to do.”
I nearly scoffed at his words. This guy was living in his own world of delusion.

“But first,” he sipped from his mug again. “There are certain things we need to set straight. Like your attitude towards me. Since I’ve fucked you and officially made you mine,” another sip. “you’ll need to start acting like my woman.”
I gulped hard, his words having more effect than they should on me.
“First lesson, I like my women submissive.”
The word ‘women‘ stuck in my head.
Of course, he’s had other women. While I was single and alone–thanks to him–he’s been flocking around.
Was Katya, I wondered, one of them?
“I hate arguments, Green,” he went on. “I trust you to always believe my decisions are the best and go through with them. When I tell you to sit, you sit. When I tell you to stand, you don’t just stand, Green, you scramble to your feet.”
This guy was an effortless Dominant.
“Are we on the same page, Rali?” He narrowed his
eyes.
I swear, if I had to glare at him any harder, my eyes could singlehandedly start a fire and roast marshmallows.
“Honestly? I don’t know. I’m not used to being controlled by people. Hopefully, you understand.” I couldn’t keep the hostility

from my voice. He deserved every ounce of it.

His wet lips lifted in a smile. “I do understand, baby. Which is why, for a start, I’ll be helping you.”
Setting his mug down, he reached for his belt and began unhooking it.
Wait, what?
“Wh–What’re you doing?” My eyes were wide with panic.
There was no way–no way–he wanted to have sex now. I was still sore, damn it. I could barely sit without wincing.
His arctic eyes danced with a trace of humour, and the whole time, he didn’t look away from me.
Belt unfastened, he lowered the front of his pants, exposing his cock.
My throat ran dry in an instant. My brain practically short–circuited.
He was like rock already. Was he always this way?
“Get on your knees, Rali.”
My face turned as red as a stop sign.
“I can’t! I–I still feel sore.”

He slitted his eyes, and just like that, the room felt colder. “You get one strike for your first refusal. On your knees. Now.”
My mouth fell open in shock. Was he serious?
“One more for your delay.” His eyes gleamed with sadistic delight.

Oh, fuck. Please don’t tell me it was going to be the same whip from yesterday. If he pulled out that same whip, I was going to lose it.
I fell on my knees despite the grudge in my heart.
Sinister ecstasy twinkled in his eyes. “Good. Now, crawl to me.”
