You Looked Down on Me Once, Now You Look Up. novel Chapter 251

“Here to see your precious little angel, huh?”

“Your ex-wife’s sister is your great love? If this were a romance novel, they’d drag it out for five million words!”

Jackson’s mouth was as sharp as ever, spitting out every line like it was dipped in poison.

Aiden couldn’t figure it out—how could someone who loved lollipops so much have such a venomous tongue? Did the sugar make it worse somehow?

Theo already knew what Jackson was like and didn’t bother to argue. He just turned to Patricia instead. “Patricia, can you keep your crazy dog in check?”

“Wow, Mr. Newton, you must have a lot of free time.”

“Crawling out of your girlfriend’s bed at the crack of dawn just to visit your one true love, and then giving your ex’s friends a lecture too? That’s got to be exhausting.”

Patricia’s voice wasn’t loud, but it was just right for people walking by to catch every word.

Everyone paused and looked Theo’s way. Some stared, some whispered, some just looked him up and down with a sneer.

“Patricia, we’re over. Do we really have to turn our past into a war zone every single time?”

“That’s easy for you to say. If you’d almost been burned alive, would you be so quick to let it go?” Jackson was on fire today, partly because he hadn’t been let into the house that morning and was still in a bad mood.

He went after Theo without holding back. “Letting go is easy for you. If you really want to ‘move on,’ why don’t you spend a night at the villa and let me set it on fire? Let’s see how quickly you get over that. If you can’t even imagine what it’s like, what right do you have to tell her to forget it?”

“This is between me and Patricia. What does it have to do with you? Jackson, you’ve always butted into her marriages—first, second, whatever—you’re overstepping, don’t you think?”

“Oh, a couple of words is overstepping? What if I just punched you right now?” Jackson rolled up his sleeves, ready for a fight.

Theo wanted nothing to do with a public showdown. He turned and walked straight into the VIP lounge.

Inside, Ruby sat slumped in her wheelchair, hat pulled low and mask hiding her face, a cloud of misery hanging over her.
