You Looked Down on Me Once, Now You Look Up. novel Chapter 418

"Blame me for taking this long to figure out what our sweet girl really likes."

Patricia reached up and gently pressed her hand over his mouth. "Don’t say another word."

"Alright, alright, I’ll stop."

"So, are we going out or not?"

"Yeah, let’s go together."

Oliver grabbed Patricia’s hand, the other holding a gift bag for Chelsea. Just before they left, he reminded Patricia to stay home and not wander off.

He brought Aiden along, too.

When Chelsea got back from her walk, she caught a glimpse of Oliver’s car heading out of Cloud Peak.

"Heading out?"

"Yeah."

"Business stuff?"

Patricia nodded. "Maybe."

"Forget about him for now." She took Chelsea’s hand and led her into the living room. "Come here. I bought you a bag last time—used Oliver’s card, by the way."

Chelsea’s eyes lit up.

She wasn’t surprised Patricia got her a bag, but the fact she used Oliver’s card? Now that was worth a look.

Three spotless Bentleys rolled smoothly down the drive from Cloud Peak.

In the back seat, Oliver’s folding phone was open in his hand, the dark window reflecting his focused gaze as he read through someone’s résumé.

Halfway there, Hector hopped in, shot a glance at Oliver’s phone, and grinned. "That’s a fancy résumé, but if you’re on the wrong side, it doesn’t mean much."

"Feeling bad for him?"

Hector snorted. "Are you serious? Why would I feel sorry for some balding old guy?"

Oliver finally looked up, snapped his phone shut, and turned toward Hector.
