Chapter 120
“Yeah, petty girls are the worst,” Leland chimed in, siding with Skye.
Still unwilling to give up, Alina turned straight to the instructor. “Instructor, I want to challenge Narissa to a speed memorization contest.”
She refused to believe there was nothing she could beat Narissa at.

When Narissa finally stepped out of the testing room, the psychologist actually grabbed her hand, reluctant to let her leave.
The psychologist said, “You’re the most extraordinary kid I’ve ever met.
“If you have time, could you come by and let me do some research? Don’t worry, you’ll get paid for it.”
“Narissa, don’t get cocky. I’m challenging you to a speed memorization contest,” Alina said.
“Alina, just give it up already. There’s no way you can beat Narissa,” Skye said, hooking her arm through Narissa’s and looking at her with open admiration.
But Narissa just replied coolly, “Alright, I’m in.”
She thought, “These training sessions are a total snooze–fest anyway. Might as well have a little fun with this.”
The group made their way back to the classroom.”
The instructor brought up a thousand images and told both of them to memorize them as quickly as possible.
After that, each image would be broken into scrambled pieces, and they’d have to restore every single one to its original order in the shortest time.
This was an insanely difficult challenge. Almost nobody could pull it off.
It tested not just their reflexes, but their memory too.
The thousand images were split into a hundred sets, each one a composite picture.
So far, no one had ever managed to put all one hundred sets back in the right order. It was basically impossible.
Narissa closed her eyes, waiting for the instructor’s signal. The moment he announced the start, she opened them and locked onto each composite image with laser focus.
Each set, which included ten images, flashed by in just three seconds. Trying to memorize all one hundred was next–level
hard.
Everyone guessed that if either of them managed to restore even ten or twenty images, that would already be pretty impressive.
Getting all of them right was flat–out impossible.
“Narissa never even trained for this. I don’t know if she can really do it,” Skye said, sounding a bit worried.
“Time’s up!” the instructor called out, shutting off the video.
Now it was time for them to use the tablets in their hands to put the images back in order.

There was no time limit. Once they finished, they just had to raise their hand, and the other person would have to stop immediately.
Whoever managed to restore the most images would be the winner.
Narissa got right to work, rearranging the images on her tablet.
She looked totally in her element, like she was born for this.
Alina glanced over at Narissa while working on her own images.
At first glance, her heart skipped a beat.
‘Already? That fast?‘ Alina thought.
She took a second look and forced herself to calm down.
Alina told herself, ‘She’s probably just messing around, putting on a show.
‘Just wait, I’ll totally embarrass her in front of everyone.
“I’m done!” Narissa called out.
After about two minutes, she raised her hand.
Everyone turned to look at her.
Meanwhile, Alina had only managed to restore just ten images.
“How did you finish so fast? You didn’t just guess your way through, did you?” Alina said, handing her tablet over.
She wanted to show off her skills to everyone first.
The instructor immediately started checking the images, and it didn’t take long to confirm that Alina had gotten all ten right.

“Alina, that’s pretty impressive! You actually managed to restore ten images in the correct order. Let’s all give her a round of applause,” the instructor said.
Alina beamed with pride, turning to Narissa.
