Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 132

The idea struck Rosamund like a bolt of lightning, slicing through the despair clouding her mind and illuminating a sudden clarity.

She snatched up her phone and replayed the video over and over.

There was no doubt now—the child couldn't possibly be Beasley's.

Maybe that was it. Maybe Beasley had caught Willow cheating and realized the baby wasn't his. That would explain the divorce.

The more Rosamund turned it over in her mind, the more convinced she became that she'd found the truth.

Her heart, at last, settled.

"Don't worry about it, Janet. Someone will take care of this," Rosamund said, her composure restored, voice calm and unruffled.

Janet stared, surprised at how quickly Rosamund had collected herself. Leave it to a seasoned actress—she really did admire that about her.

"But people are saying all sorts of things out there," Janet murmured, nodding toward the tinted window.

A film set was a breeding ground for gossip, after all; half the rumors in show business seemed to start in places like this.

At that moment, Rosamund's assistant, Yvonne, tapped gently on the van door. "Rosa, it's me."

Janet slid open the door, admitting Yvonne, who was slightly out of breath and carrying two steaming cups.

Rosamund took a sip from her cup. The drink was warm, a little bitter, unsweetened.

"Rumors never really die in this business, but let me make one thing clear: my job is to make this film the best it can be. I owe that to the investors, and to the fans who support us. The rest—well, it's not my problem."

Yvonne nodded earnestly, taking Rosamund's words to heart.

She'd been Rosamund's assistant since graduating college two years ago. It wasn't such a long time, but she'd seen a lot—from international shoots to coming back home. And truth be told, she'd never met another celebrity as gracious as Rosamund. She never snapped at her staff, never acted superior.

Honestly, Yvonne hoped President Windsor would end up with Rosamund. Even his sister Evelyn had dropped more than a few hints in front of them that Rosamund was her future sister-in-law.

Most of all, Rosamund herself never denied it in front of her and Janet. So in Yvonne's mind, she'd already accepted that this relationship was real.
