Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 275

Once Lionel admitted his feelings, an incredible sense of relief washed over him. All those tedious, irritating things that used to weigh him down? Suddenly, he no longer had to force himself through them.

Now, there was only one thing on his mind: Juliette’s reaction.

He parted his lips, trying to speak. “You—”

“Are you out of your mind?” Juliette cut him off, her beautiful eyes rimmed red. “You’re jealous, so you chase after other girls? Are you trying to drive me insane, or just yourself?”

“I like you, so I’ve been keeping my distance from other guys. And when you told me you liked someone else, I forced myself to stay away from you. But you? You claim to like me, then go after another girl, and then come to me for advice?”

“And in the end, you even questioned my orientation!”

The more Juliette spoke, the more wronged she felt. Tears shimmered in her eyes, and it took everything she had not to let them spill over.

“I’m sorry, Letty, I’m such an idiot. I—I know I was wrong!” The moment Lionel heard Juliette say she liked him, it felt as if fireworks exploded in his head. He didn’t even care about her scolding—he was just so happy. But the sight of tears welling up in her eyes threw him into a panic, making his heart ache.

He scrambled off the hospital bed, wanting to wipe away her tears, wanting to pull her into a hug. But he hesitated, awkwardly stopping his uninjured hand just inches from her, afraid to cross the last bit of distance.

Juliette saw him and turned her head away so he wouldn’t see her face.

Willow, who’d been watching from the side, let out a soft sigh.

She turned to Lionel. “Mr. Scott, have you ever heard of STAR?”

“STAR?” Lionel’s gaze never left Juliette. “Of course I have.”

STAR was Juliette’s favorite science fiction author. How could he not know?

“Did you hear about STAR from Letty?” Willow asked.

She held out a hand and smiled. “I’m STAR. Pleased to officially meet you.”

A few minutes later, Willow left the VIP hospital room, giving the finally reconciled couple some much-needed privacy.

Since she and Juliette had driven separately, she headed straight to the hospital parking lot to fetch her own car.

On her way out, Willow remembered her fridge at home was nearly empty, so she decided to stop by the nearby grocery store to pick up some essentials before heading back.

She knew exactly what she needed, so she made her selections quickly.

As she pushed her cart past the fruit section, ready to check out, she caught a glimpse—out of the corner of her eye—of a familiar figure.
