Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 280

“So, have you two finally admitted your feelings for each other? Are you officially together now?” Willow asked.

Juliette gave a little scoff. “We’ve definitely admitted how we feel, but I haven’t agreed to be his girlfriend just yet.”

Willow caught on immediately. “Let me guess—you’re waiting for Mr. Scott to clean up the messes he made before you say yes, right?”

Juliette couldn’t help but smile. “You get me.”

Willow laughed as well. “Honestly, that’s for the best. Maybe it’ll teach Mr. Scott to be a little more careful next time.”

The two of them continued to chat for a while longer, until Juliette got an incoming call and had to end the conversation.

Willow didn’t even have to guess; it was definitely Lionel calling.

She set her phone down and breathed out a quiet sigh of relief.

Lettie and Lionel had finally gotten through their misunderstanding, safe and sound. Willow couldn’t guarantee things would always be smooth sailing for them from here on out, but at least, right now, they really liked each other—and that alone put them miles ahead of most people.

That night, Willow had a dream she hadn’t had in ages—she dreamt of Beasley from their high school days. In the dream, he wore his school uniform and walked toward her, holding a trophy in his hands. His handsome features were cold and distant as he looked at her with obvious disdain. “Knowing you like me makes me sick,” he said, voice icy.

A sharp pain stabbed at her chest, and Willow jolted awake.

Why that dream, of all things?

Willow only realized that today, after Juliette sent her the address.

In her previous life, she’d been married to Beasley for years and never once set foot in this part of town. Now, in this life, she found herself coming here for a birthday party.

The area was even more exclusive than the Baycrest Villas where she and Beasley once lived. Though right in the heart of the city, the neighborhood was peaceful and green, like a hidden oasis in the midst of the bustle.

Willow mused that if Beasley didn’t live so close by, she’d have loved to buy a place here for her dad to retire in. What a shame.

She arrived right on time, following the GPS. Juliette was already there, having arrived a few minutes earlier. Lionel had gone to pick up Cordelia and hadn’t gotten back yet.

Juliette had met Lionel’s aunt a few times at his birthday parties before, so she didn’t need Lionel to escort her in. Besides, Lionel had already called ahead to let his aunt know they’d be coming.
