Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 308

This time, Beasley didn’t deny it.

Maybe he wasn’t even sure himself if what he felt was truly love.

But one thing he knew with absolute certainty—he wouldn’t tolerate anyone around him badmouthing Willow. Not even his closest friends.

“Don’t mention what happened today to anyone,” Beasley finally said, his icy blue eyes fixed on York, voice firm. “That includes Rosamund.”

York’s chest tightened. He grabbed the glass of red wine in front of him and knocked it back in one go, setting the glass down with a sharp clink. After a moment, he muttered a muffled, “Got it.”

He hadn’t planned on telling Rosamund anyway—no sense dragging her into this mess and making her feel as frustrated as he did.

At five-thirty that evening, Willow drove alone to a cozy little bistro she’d once visited with Juliette.

Lionel had insisted on taking her out to dinner, claiming he owed her for playing matchmaker. Willow couldn’t find a polite way to refuse, so she picked this spot that held a special meaning for both Lionel and Juliette.

By the time Willow arrived at their reserved booth, Juliette and Lionel were already waiting, the table spread with the best and freshest seafood appetizers the place had to offer.

“You two really went all out, didn’t you?” Willow stared at the platters of oysters and delicate sushi rolls, unable to hide her amazement.

Lionel grinned so wide it nearly reached his temples. “This is the least we could do! Order whatever you want, eat as much as you like. Tonight’s on us!”

Clearly, Mr. Scott was in an excellent mood.

Juliette laughed and waved Willow over. “Come on, sit down. Don’t be so formal with him.”

Willow settled into the seat opposite them. It was obvious—the two of them were getting along wonderfully after finally confessing their feelings.

She was genuinely happy for them.

Juliette knew Willow was usually busy working on her next book. She doubted Lionel’s aunt would get her wish.

As expected, Willow politely declined. “I really like Tina, and she’s a sweetheart, but I’m swamped with my new novel right now. I probably can’t commit to regular tutoring sessions.”

Lionel just smiled. “No worries, just think it over. Tina’s only a sophomore—she’s got two more years before exams. There’s time.”

“My aunt told me herself—if you’re willing to help Tina, whatever terms you want, she’ll agree.”

Willow thought it over and said, “Alright. If I find some free time later, I’ll reach out.”

“Thank you!” Lionel said gratefully, then immediately turned to Juliette with a goofy grin. “Your best friend really is the best.”

Willow couldn’t help but laugh at their shameless affection, so she fixed her gaze on her plate, focusing on the meal instead.
